No waaay it's finally happening! The Fate series is perfect for you guys! I just know you both are going to really enjoy going into this rabbit hole!

Aidos Smagulov

Before the release of Fate/Zero in 2011, I didn't watch much anime, preferring to read manga or light novels, but Zero was the turning point when I became convinced that there are really worthy screen adaptations. Thanks for the reaction!

azope

i don't like zero ( especialy since it butcher saber personality ) so will wait to seen your reaction of ubw and i also hope you will react to heaven feel

Drakojin

I'm happy to see you reacting to fate. But I'm going to laugh at 80%+ of the dub voices 😅

Nice Fate Zero is one of my favorites as well, and my 3rd favorite Fate anime I prefer Apocrypha and Heavens Feel to Zero. Even though I prefer it in Japanese the English dub for this show is really strong, as it is for the entire Fate franchise.

This was explained in Fate Extra, but a Servant's personality can also be influenced by the Master they are summoned by, to some degree. This is further reinforced in Fate Grand Order. Though this sounded like they tried explaining that inconsistency in Fate Zero.

If you do plan to watch UBW, make sure it is the Blu-ray edition. The Blu-rays added extra minutes of scenes for certain episodes, with one particular episode getting at least 7 minutes of extra content. The full version of the episodes used to be on Funimation, but the site no longer exists, so I don't know where the full ones can be watched outside of the blu-rays now. Netflix vesion is not the full version; it is the same trimmed version broadcasted on TV.

Yeah you're right about hasan, he's not really one specific figure from legend. There are multiple Assassin servants that are supposed to be members of the Hashashin (yeah the order of assassins that fought the templars) and they all go by the name of the order's founder Hasan i Sabbah even though they themselves are made up characters. The idea is that it's actually rare to become an actual Heroic Spirit compatible for the Assassin class because to become one you'd need to be famous which is not fit for an assassin, but these unknown people managed to because they were so tied to this one entity that did get marked in history

Nukouh

lost me with the dub so i’ll just watch it on my own in the sub i hope you guys enjoy the show tho, always wanted to check it out so this is good timing
