Mihawk to Zoro, Ep24: You're a little frog, croaking in your puddle. Time you learned how big the world is. Zoro to Hyouzou, Ep566: I thought you were a frog. A big frog in a small pond. Full circle! + I can't recall if it's a different translation or if the Live Action tweaked the line a little bit, but I remember Mihawk telling Zoro that he was but a frog in a well, unaware of how big the world is. That's also why we had that one scene in the Live Action of Zoro stuck in a literal well as he climbs back up while remembering his past with Kuina.

Everyone's finishing moves!!! Really love that Chopper's fully embracing his monster elements now Brook being cold and mindful of the dead as always. And Franky with an actual laser beam, the only characters we've seen use it are Kizaru and the Pacifistas. And Drake mentioned that the Pacifistas lasers were based on Kizaru's light powers. That's huge!

I never noticed Luffy doesn't say his usual nicknames for Shirahoshi in this episode, hearing him say "Shirahoshi" so casually threw me off. That's kinda cool actually. Anyway out of everyone's new powerups in this arc, I gotta say Franky takes the cake imo. You can't beat a goddamn laser beam. That was such overkill on that squid guy.

So in a bit of trivia in the manga Hordy was defeated by the Elephant Gun right after the first Red Hawk a full 2 chapters before the rest of his crew. All of that stuff with Zeo saying Death can be revenge happened after Hordy was for sure defeated.

Not a big fan of where the Elephant Gatling got cut in the anime. It makes it feel less final.

The anime dragged out/extended most of the fights, Luffy vs Hordy in particular. This makes the fight in the anime more of a struggle for Luffy. Compared to the manga Hordy takes more hits; he dishes out more hits against Luffy; the "beam struggle" is anime only; etc. It really messes with how Oda wanted to portray this fight imo. At least with the other fights you still mostly get the idea that the SHs aren't getting pushed whatsoever, even if the fights are dragged out. With Luffy vs Hordy they just did too much which messed with the author's intent.

Regarding the shark fangs piercing Luffy, he mentioned earlier that armament haki is tough against blows but his isn't good enough to defend against those kind of attacks. I think he meant high pressure blows dealt on a singular point not to mention they're sharp, his main vulnerability.

Luffy is lucky he punched a hole though Hordy's after image, else he would have unlocked some trauma. I never linked Hell Wink and Hell Memories before holy shit lmaoo. Elephant Gatling looks so cool man. I hate how the Anime make Luffy look like he is struggling against Hordy. There was no beam struggle, no heavy shots taken. In the Manga, Luffy manhandled Hordy with no difficulty whatsoever. A negg diff if you will.

i personally don't like the new monster point chopper, it look too soft. especially after chopper decided he would become a monster for luffy all his transformation became more more soft and fluffy and cute instead of intimidating

Slow pacing of the anime makes it looms like Luffy is struggling.they add on random struggles to pad out the time. Luffy should have one shotted hordy in that last attack

if they wanted to pad out time they should have made the fight of the three prince when they get to the plaza longer, or they could have given jimbei, nami and robin more screetime during the all out fight
