With every answer comes 10x more questions, that's some classic One Piece baby! Looks like Law's been making big moves these past 2 years, he definitely got a huge glow up in both status and design. At first I wasn't sure about the new brim on his hat, but it's grown on me a lot and now his old hat looks hella goofy to me lmao. And I personally love that he bothered to get his heavy winter coat custom-made to feature his jolly roger. This man is surprisingly dedicated to his drip.

You're scrambling up a couple things because there is a lot going on. The samurai never said he tried to commit harakiri; he said he was sliced up by somebody but didn't die, leaving him in a dishonored state unable to even restore his honor by committing harakiri. He also mentioned a Warlord, so now it's confirmed he was sliced up by Law (who has become a Warlord).

One Piece is genuinely so fucking funny, but people tend to miss the little gags because there’s always so much going on. Smoker smoking through his mask is a great example. Almost every chapter has one or two incredible jokes that go under the radar because we get so fixated on the broader narrative.

A fun detail: Brook's attack "Aubade Coup Droit" is a flying sword attack we first saw it being used by Ryuma when Brook saw him ,he said that the move didn't do that when he used it, so what does that mean? Aubade Coup Droit is just a thrust but Ryuma's body was so strong it turned it into a flying attack and now after the timeskip, Brook is strong enought to do the same It's a detail most people miss but it's a really fun way to show how much Brook has improved

It is clear to me that law is not here for luffy. Maybe since he is a warlord and now working for the government, he could be here to stop whoever is performing illegal scientific experiments on the island. That is my first assumption upon knowing now that he works for the government. There have been numerous signs of abnormal activity here such as the giant babies and mutated forms of human/animal hybrids so someone is playing games like on thriller bark. Was that a Bruce lee impersonation by Chopper LOL I really do hope we get to see more brook scenes in this arc, he is the one straw that I feel is lacking.
