The cubes for the hearts are part of the ability and do look the same in the manga and anime. It's like creating a 'space' where the heart exists separately while still being connected to the body.

Love the cooking Man I love this arc

How thoughtful of Cesar to be so concerned for his men Truly a gentle soul, we don't deserve him

If I had a dollar for every time Usopp's nose saved him from being buried under snow I'd have two dollars. It's not a lot but it's weird that it happened twice. I think Oda was really struggling to give Vergo an iconic gag as he loves to do for most of his characters. Food and spoons randomly sticking to his face, being so forgetful he just makes things up. A lot of what he tries doesn't really hit, at least not to me. Still a cool character but doesn't exactly lend himself well to the absurd gag humor that is so prevalent in One Piece.

Brownbeard already stated that the dragons on Punk Hazard are "artificial life-forms" made by Vegapunk. They originally guarded the island and lab. You're right that Vegapunk made those dragons.

God, those snake hallucinations are forever itched into my memory, that sound is disturbingly horrifying. Kinda disappointed at Nami for not pulling on Ussop's nose to drag him out of the snow, Vivi-Drum-Island style.

More than drugs, this arc is more about exploring cults. Caesar is basically running a cult on this island where he's the charismatic leader, and all the other members are people he is exploiting and abusing. The drugs are just once aspect, which demonstrate one way members are coerced into following the cult, but far from the main narrative theme. Caesar's underlings aren't hooked on drugs, after all, but he's able to convince them all the same, and earned their unquestioning faith and zeal in their belief in Caesar.

The pacing is terrifying

Matthew Gilroy

25 episodes of sea train to blueno fight was terrifying. That's more episodes than this entire arc so far

I've always wondered where does the skin where the heart was went.

Yes, S stands for sulfur. There exists a molecular compound of H2S empirical formula in our world - it's called hydrogen sulfide, it's a gas and technically it's also an acid, though it has relatively low acidic properties. Here's AI breakdown (checked for facts, I'm a chemist) of it cause I'm too lazy to type it down myself. ___ H₂S (hydrogen sulfide): What? — Toxic, flammable gas, smells like rotten eggs. Where? — Natural gas, sewers, oil wells, volcanoes, decaying organic matter. Why care? — At low levels: stinks & irritates eyes. At high levels: deadly & knocks out your sense of smell before you know it. Fun fact? — Heavier than air; collects in low spots. Handle it like it’s trying to kill you — because it is. ___ What I believe is - Oda is taking inspiration from it but it's not exactly our world's H2S molecule 1:1 (the properties of it shown in the arc are different than they are in reality). It can be a different molecule that's based on H2S and modified or he just called it that because it sounds "chemically". 😁👌🏼

It genuinely isn't and leaving comments like this quite literally helps no one

And it's funny because Chopper has been acting like an invalid with low iq. Like Subaru in re zero episode 15

If you want to learn what a good kids plotline looks like, play Yakuza 3. The kids are actually characters there. I doubt anyone reading/watching this for the first time could name any of these drug testing kids' names

Coqnbauz

People say the pacing is bad because they’re waiting for certain moments in the arc and they don’t care about everything else in between Complainers like that are sooooo annoying 😒

Is it just me or does it seem like Monette is making a drink every time she comes on screen

According to Oda, Vergo's gag of constantly having stuff on his cheek is because he's apparently been a life-long messy eater, but I have no idea what the deal is with his weird memory issues. Oda loves his deliberate character references to other things so I've always assumed it's a reference to something Japanese-related that I just don't have enough context to understand, but it is very bizarre. There's actually a fan theory that Vergo is some kind of robot because of the way he acts is so strange.

Started Yakuza Zero recently. Enjoying it so far. I hope the rest of the franchise is as good.

Cheddah Slammer

Supposedly their is a Japanese Joke, that men with strong facial hair have things stick to it like velcro. I always thought that Oda just used that Joke to the extreme for Vergo.
