yea takopi as T800 meets shizuka connor wasnt on my bingo list I think shizuka's dad just forgot about Chappy because Shizuka is just so unimportant and small part of his life. Iirc Shizuka's mum said something like "it's just a dog he left behind" and I don't think Shizuka's mum cared about her emotions enough to lie and portray her dad as someone who cares.

Takopi’s original sin aka naive little alien makes everything even worse with toxic positivity

This reminds me of The Butterfly Effect were Ashton Kutcher keeps going back in time trying to fix stuff and keeps making it worse and worse and then just ends up changing it were everyone lives. Should we take the intro in face value were wither takopi goes to jail since he has a prisoner outfit on or that he's able to make Shizuka and Marina friends with the magic string. With one episode left I dont know how it will end it.

What's fucked up to think about is that Shizuka is alive - which means that maybe Takopi's involvement was what caused her to take her life in the first episode?

Technically yes, because he's the one who gave her the ribbon that simply cannot break. So since in the original timeline (2022) the rope did break, she would've survived if Takopi hadn't given her the ribbon, which was supposed to be used as a way to reconciliate Shizuka and Marina. Fucked up stuff...
