Finally in Doflamingo territory! Weirdly enough up until now the only other antagonists confirmed to share Luffy's dream were Moria and Hody. Granted in Hody's case it felt a lot more hollow, most likely he only said it just to be arrogant and poke at Luffy and humans in general. With Moria though you could believe he probably did have that kind of ambition once, before he was left traumatized by defeat.

The actual reason Monet allowed Law to modify her body for whatever reason, was not to to prove her loyalty or dedication to Caesar or some bullshit like that, but because she knew Oda would only kill her off, if she became 50% animal>human🙂‍↕️

Nami did not face against Cesar. She used her weather attacks against Monet instead to keep her away and melt her snow, which actually did hurt her. Against Cesar I don't think a gust of wind would change the fact the oxygen itself is being removed in an area around Cesar and it's not like she would create oxygen or something.

I feel like how effective nami’s powers would be against Caesar depends on how he creates the oxygen free field, if she can blow new air into an area faster than he can suck the oxygen out of it or not Plus her raising humidity somewhere could interfere with Gastanette since it would slow down combustion, even in an oxygen rich environment

I mean sure but even then the main point is Luffy dealing with a new world threat after Zoro's warning while Cesar was never an actual danger to them . While Nami was more useful elsewhere. The only reason he escaped was Monet sneaking in.

If you count cover stories, Crocodile wanted to be King of the Pirates. I also don't think it's a super rare thing, I used to say over half of all pirates in the world and their mothers say they want to be Pirate King. Most are just spouting ego and plenty are Bellamy types satisfied with local loot but the premise of the show is that almost every pirate wants the One Piece.
