Nami possibly being gay isn't so farfetched actually. She certainly utilizes her sex appeal around men for her own gain, but she generally doesn't have much interest in guys. I think Oda's even stated once that she's unconditionally kind only to women and children. Compared to Robin who actually has been flirty with guys on occasion, Nami is way more inclined to be affectionate towards women over men. In fact I think the first genuine flirty remark to slip from Nami's mouth was over Kalifa from CP9. And it's a bit of a continuing trend for her to comment on other women's attractiveness and beauty, again something she basically never does for any man in the story.

A good way to theorise beforehand on Aokiji vs Doffy is if you look back on Akainu's feats, and thus if you think Doffy is Emperor level or close to it. Remember Akainu 1v1d Whitebeard throughout the war. And after getting quaked away he got back up soon after and single handedly fought alone against the combined forces of Marco, Jimbei, Ivankov, Crocodile, and the entirety of Whitebeard's commanders. We know Aokiji is relative to this. So the main question is, is do we think Doffy is Yonko level? Impossible to ascertain as just like most of the powerful Navy forces like Kizaru and the Warlords at Marineford, they were just fucking around😂

I think about this every time you talk about this "power scaling" thing, so ill write i little about it here: I dont think oda sees this the same way you do, as a matter of fact i think if oda would rewrite one piece again from the begining, he wouldnt even make it a shonnen. One piece is really an epic fantasy, i compare it to storys like Dune and The Wheel of TIme, not Dragon Ball What i mean by this is that Oda considerers the way someones power, and more specifically a groups military power, influences the social and geopolitical structure of the world he created. The admirals are so strong because the have to, otherwise the Navy wouldnt be the ultimate military power around the World. When whe first found out about the 4 emperors, it was said that what makes them emperors was the fact they conquered entire islands in the new world, and have manpower to protect it from invasion. So again he makes it about geopolitics. If someone eventually gets to the level of the admirals or the emperors, they would have impact in the geopolitical world. The only exceptions i can think of is mihawk, but you see, thats why i said military power and not individual power. mihawk has no crew, or the drive to rise to a position of power. One of the points of marineford was to see the size on an emperors crew and followers. It was an actual army. I think i remember you saying whitebeard or someone else would take down all the fodder in 1 move, and "simplify" the war, but that never happened, again, because military and political power is really what one piece is about

in the first season of the live action they really focused zoro and nami's dynamic, which was fun, but i hope that in the next season they focus on nami and usopp as well. my biggest fear is that they don't make them as close as in the anime

(Though I bet Sanji would still be a chef......) -from H. Momo Age 9 Oda: Ok. So about this, I actually ended up finding the answers on a postcard from another fan. I found that the example of professions listed to the side labeled "My Hobbies", that P.N. SukeKiyo-san included along with your exact same question were spot on, so here they are. I assume they really would turn out to be something like this. Luffy - Firefighter Zoro - Police Officer Nami - Nursery School Teacher Usopp - Graphic Designer Sanji - Stylist Chopper - Grade School Teacher Robin - Flight Attendant Franky - Pilot Brook - Detective Basically these weren't his choices but those of a fan, and he liked them enough to include. We already know Sanji is a chef so it would be redundant to give him that same role when another aspect of his character can be highlighted. And he's a very fashionable guy who likes to maintain his style. Same goes for Chopper, he's already a doctor so the idea that he'd instead love teaching his knowledge to others is more interesting. I really like the answers for Robin and Franky. She'd get to travel all around the world meeting various people, cultures and history, while Franky is sailing the plane. Nami and Children, or Usopp with arts and design are W choices. For Zoro, well he was a bounty hunter for a while(even his epithet still reflects it so that checks out😂). Luffy as a firefighter makes too much sense, he'd love their red outfits. For Brook I guess exploring deaths and finding clues😂.
