Sanji Joestar

One Piece Party Time is always the best Time

Momonosuke the GOAT!!

Sanji Joestar

Really impressed by how you guys rationalized which emperor Law was aiming for with the limited amount of information you had. And yes Kaido of the Hundred Beasts is another translation of his name!!! Carson W! - of all beasts/-of the 100 beasts/-king of the beast

Good job on calling Kaido early on guys. You put yourself in Oda's shoes and caught it based on what made sense for the story

I like to eat my samurais with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

🎶 Oda on his bag with that Bell-mère call back. 🎶 Seeing Kin'nemon and his son crying while finally getting to east is seriously heart breaking, so many people take food for granted, most of us do not know how horrible starving really is which breaks my heart especially in light of some recent real world events. Hyakujuu no Kaido!

Always fun having a party, especially when you know a crazy antagonist is on his way!... Even though you are right to recognize the "hyaku" part of his epithet as 100, "Kaido of the 100 Beasts" would still be an incorrect translation in context: "Hyakujū" is an idiomatic noun that means "all kinds of beasts". It usually is found in the japanese title given to the lion "Hyakujū no Ō", literally meaning "King of the Beasts". With Kaido's title being a derivation of said title ("Hyakujū no Kaidō"), the most accurate translation would then be "Kaido of the Beasts", with the english translations of the manga and the anime going for "Kaido, King of the Beasts", which is still accurate. So yes "hyaku" is used in the word, but in this instance, not as "a 100", which is why nobody has ever called him "Kaido of the Hundred Beasts", because it simply is not accurate. Nice catch either way though!

What a happy father & son reunion.

I feel like the banquets at the end of arcs are the heart of One Piece for me. They capture the hope after all the struggles. Watching this episode reminded me why those moments mean so much. Whatever happens in the end, I hope it carries that same feeling.

Asking if Robins jacket was Bepo was dark…sounds like a question she would ask too💀

Interesting. So it's a bit like saying there's a ton of people with ton meaning 1000 but the meaning has changed into "lots of" something.

Oda really cooked with Law's characterization. It's clear he's got a lot of baggage/pent-up anger and is trying so hard to be brooding and mysterious - but the Strawhats really make it difficult for him lol. Watching him trying to hold himself together while also being exasperated at every turn with them is always so funny. I also love his small exchanges with Chopper where he's clearly playing around with him in a good-natured way, it really adds a lot to his character.

Just to correct some stuff you said at the end of the video. We basically gained no valuable medical info from the experiments done by the axis powers during ww2. Its a common myth spread that "well at least we gained something from all the torture" but sadly it was simply useless. The things that were "discovered" by the experiments were already being tested around the world and were not super unique. You will often see frostbite information being attributed to the axis but they were already being conducted around the world after ww1. The research did help in the idea of what not to do though so there was that. America just wanted all these scientists after ww2 because they selfishly wanted to use them for their own fucked up science and so they weren't attributing anything to the enemy.

Sanji is always cooking for everyone, I wanna see him eat with everyone
