Speaking of triangles...

Micah & I have watched plenty of people raid tombs, but we've never actually watched the Tomb Raider movies! After going through the National Treasure movies and hours upon hours of various Librarians outings, we're pretty sure we'll feel right at home.

Angelina Jolie stars as the titular (heh) Lara Croft in the original, as well as its sequel The Cradle of Life, and passes the baton to Alicia Vikander for the woke* reboot. Featuring The Man of a Thousand Races himself Jon Voight, one of the James Bonds, and less tombs than you'd expect, these movies take us on a thrilling journey through the changing times of video game adaptations!

I saw this in the theater, and it was a pretty pivotal moment in my life as the first time I actively recognized a movie was bad as I was watching it. And I’d I’d had really high hopes, too.

I never realized how much they made her look more angular. The moment yall mentioned it I couldn't unsee it.

as far as video game adaptations go, this is one of the most faithful lol especially at the time. it went platinum in my house when i was a kid. the looks, the environments, her personality, her mansion like it’s all pretty well adapted. they actually ended up taking a ton of inspiration from these movies for future games. the mansion essentially gets copied completely for the trilogy of games from 06-08 and even lara’s model starts to look more and more like angelina lmfao
