Hey Duffer 1! Yeah Duffer 2?

It's been three years and two Bonsignore babies since the end of season 4, and now the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is here to either blow our minds or make us wonder why we did this for a whole decade.

The gang's all here: Millie Jonny Bon Jovi, Sarah Connor, and of course... wait sorry, did Schnapp hit the gym??

Here's hoping for the best season yet, otherwise it's all Upside Downhill from here...

Miles clearly enjoyed it more than he was letting on because he wants to appease Eric's cynicism. Anytime Miles gets emotional about something Eric gets annoyed and says "Are you serious?" It's kinda annoying like Eric let him enjoy the show.

I really enjoyed the epilogue. The final D&D scene felt like the most well thought out and executed sequence of the whole season. I’m very glad they gave us a proper send off for characters we’ve spent years with and didn’t just cut to black after El’s sacrifice

Something I don't hear anyone talking about is like... didn't hopper and party kill MULTIPLE military personnel. We glossed over the fact that mama and the military just said "dammit they got us" and ran with their tails between their legs.

Personally I absolutely loved the second half of the episode way more than the first half. Knowing that the duffs weren't gonna kill anyone after the fake-out at the beginning killed any tension I had. I still think the final battle ruled though But man that epilogue made me bawl. it was really great, specially the final scene they could've taken like 20 minutes off the S4 finale and added it to this one to further flesh out the climax and it would've been a perfect 10/10 imo

by the way the duffers claimed a lot of things after that are just ruining the ending more and more. They said that vecna wasn’t expecting an attack at his home base that’s why there’s no demogorgans even if he can read minds.. and also that the whole scene with mike and eleven in the void was just mikes imagination and that eleven couldn’t have used her powers to bring mike into the void..

I’ve been watching this show since it first came out and absolutely fucking hated how they ended it. The epilogue could have been impactful if the final battle would have been more intense. They took away all stakes, which made the ending feel trite. Soooo many things were glossed over and never answered. I cannot believe how awful this ending was. Thank god I have yall for the jokes

One of the craziest arguments I’ve seen from people that enjoyed it was that “they’ve been battling this monster for 5 seasons, of course the fight would be short”. NO! They’d fought a version of the mind flayer for one season, and vecna for 1 (prior to the 5th season). That was a full bodied mind flayer AND vecna (not even going to mention that there should have been massive protection around them like the demos), so it should’ve taken tiiiiiime and a way more complicated plan.

Certainly didn’t hate it, and I’m glad this show got a finale that didn’t completely be awful. I’ve been a lurker for this show and didn’t grow up with the cast, but I certainly preferred the latter half to the former. There were cool moments throughout. The cosmic Kaiju battle and the boss arena, however short, were cool. I liked Holly stepping up and the inclusion of Vecna standing on his villainy. I’ll admit, I even liked Kali and her motive for ending the powered kids on earth. Cut up that first half and give these elements the space and time they deserve, I would have liked it more. But I did generally enjoy the second part much more. I really didn’t care whether or not the show was ending so it wasn’t that kind of nostalgia, but I thought the character writing was much better. The graduation harkening back to Eddie, most of the characters realistically moving out of Hawkins, the final game and even the ‘new generation’, since I dig the performances of most of the kidnapped kids. Overall a stinker, but not a smelly one. Prob a 6/10. I’ll remember it semi-fondly for doing its best at the finish line.
