We're gonna have to look at that fucking eye for 8 episodes, huh?

Percy is back in season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and so are all of his friends who totally have names and we remember all of them but we don't have time to list them right now.

In the movies, Sea of Monsters is where everything fell apart for this franchise... but will this series break the curse? We're praying to the gods!

if tyson has no fans i am dead but i can’t wait to laugh at the youtube comments of everyone pissed and defending him 😭 pjo reddit is actually a nightmare so yeah they’ll rip you to shreds but im not actually sure how they feel about tyson in the show bc they tend to shit on every detail about it that’s not 1:1 with the books. they’re probably still mad tyson didn’t get called the r word in episode 1 or smth

I have to admit, I'm part of the very small percentage that didn't like Tyson. In the book, he was so annoying. I was relieved when he was no longer a major character. In the movie, he was also annoying, especially with the weird one-eye-insecurity. The show version I find kind of endearing but I still understand the hate lol

Funny you make the halfblood/mixed blood joke, they actually have a joke/ackolagment about how weird that sounds in one of the much later bks. There is a new girl who is Native American, and she does have a brief "what did you just call me?" moment when Anabeth tells her she is a halfblood

i havent watched the track yet but i just finished the episode and these are my thoughts: i think the clarisse actress does not belong in this show lmao not because shes an outlier in acting quality, she's just strangely pretty. everyone else looks kinda normal and she looks like she should be modeling somewhere, not acting in a mediocre disney YA novel adaptation i think they should stop doing the cuts to commercial with "wow epic" music stings because it feels unearned most of the time. kinda like how zach snyder uses slow motion as if to say "hey look dummy its cool youre supposed to think its cool isnt it really cool" pick literally any will ferrell character and thats tyson for me (derogatory) (i dont like will ferrell at all)

I haven't watched yet but to maybe help with any confusion on Luke and Hermes - yes Lin Manuel Miranda is Luke's dad, but basically every god is an absentee parents who doesn't pay child support. Sometimes there's a vibe that the gods want to be more involved in their kids lives (like poseidon with percy) but they literally can't because Zeus won't let them. There's lots of lore that goes in to Hermes and Luke's relationship that isn't unfolded until the 5th book, so we can circle back to that when you guys are 40 and watching season 5. But for now, what you need to know is that Luke feels like Hermes is an awful dad (he kind of is, but also he does care about Luke... so just think of him like Hamilton) and Luke thinks that every god sucks so bad that they shouldn't be in power. So Luke thinks he's doing a good thing and helping every demigod by teaming up with Kronos and planning to destroy olympus. Luke is technically the main antagonist of the show (along with Kronos) but at the same time Luke as a character makes a lot of great points and is sort of right about the gods sucking. It's kind of like he's got the right message but the wrong method.
