Paper faces on parade lookin ass...

Finally, after three (four technically?) seasons of Bridgerton, it is time to appreciate the handsomest boy. Benedict takes center stage to hopefully help us understand why the most eligible bachelor in the whole freakin ton would give up his life as a rake to settle down with, well, anyone!!!

Oh damn wait... that chick in the mask tho! AND THAT TWIST???

Okay yeah, this is gonna be the best season yet.

it's so funny how unfortunate it is that eric 'face blindness' striffler had to come back to bridgerton in an episode where every characters face is covered for 95% of the episode

As far as how far they are from the books, i read the series after season one (skipping book one) and i can say that they are pretty close, but 1. There are no subplots in the books, like at all, it’s mostly all made up for the show; the Featheringtons, the Mondritch’s, Eloise’s boytoy in season 2, Benedict’s past relationships and bi awakening. The books are romances only about the love story of that particular book, i think they’ve done an overall good job adding plotlines (but they took up too much time in season 3 imo) 2. Season two improved on the book (and i LOVE their book) by drawing out the Edwina Courting, they don’t even get engaged in the book, let alone walk down the aisle! I was SHOCKED watching the show the first time, and thought it was really exciting >:) 3. As far as this book/season, i want to say it is shockingly close to the book, i did NOT expect them to stick so close to some plot points, and as someone who didn’t really like this one, it is WINNING ME OVER! Show Benedict clears Book Bene by a long shot❤️

BIG fan of how the masquerade element successfully tricked you into thinking you'd never met characters that have been there since season 1 (although to be fair, the Mondriches have had very forgettable plots)

I also think Sophie being a maid is so refreshing for bridgerton, which was much needed since it’s the 4th season. Like her not being a lady, and the show showing us so much of the servants in every household IM SAT!

I didn't read the books so I'm not sure if this is the whole point but I cant help but notice that Sophie's story is exactly that of Cinderella - it has to be intentional. Wicked stepmother and sister, goes to ball and meets a prince, must leave before midnight for risk of exposing her current status, leaves behind a glove instead of a slipper to be the one thing to track her by.

benedict's season is definitely the most faithful to the book! colin's book changed the order of events around a little bit and colin didn't give penelope dating lessons but she did ask him to kiss her and that is how he falls for her! anthony's season is a very different to the book tbh. The craziest change from the books is that in the books, you don't find out who whistledown is until Colin finds out in the middle of book 4, whereas in the show we know end of s1.
