About six years ago, Roarie came to Denmark, partly to shoot with me, and that was the beginning of my Venus On Mars adventure. I did a lot of experimentation with light at the time (still do come to think of it.) This is a direct lamp shot through a homebuilt 1,2x2,4m /4x8' wooden frame with Lee diffuser filters taped on both sides. I can't remember the Lee filters' name, but In the old days, I used Rosco Light Tough Rolux.

In any event, this lighting style works fantastic for the skin as it's both hard and fades out, giving smooth skin.

And as usual, I used many flags to mask off the light to get the background wall darker.

Roarie has this 'Je ne sais quoi'  sense of intimacy and lack of self-consciousness that work amazingly in images.
