In spring ’19, I rented a house in Joshua Tree before doing a workshop at the Palm Springs Photofestival. One of the models who drove out to shoot with me was Daniella Smith, a beautiful inside and out.

Daniella is very spiritual and into yoga, which became a theme in the images.

I frequently do something when I photograph; They incorporate some of the model's personality into the images. I think it makes images/portraits much more interesting when you see a sliver of who the models are, rather than just a random nude woman that poses the same for everyone. I don’t want to bask p0rn, but this is the main problem I have with a lot of p0rn and glamour photography: It’s a male view on whatever we males stereotypically find sexy in women, but not necessarily something women find attractive. To me, it becomes shallow and a bit boring. I prefer images where I feel I see the model for who they are.
