The Ox chair (Patreon)

This series with Melanie, AKA Miss Blond, was shot in the same apartment, but in the living room, and the chair was one of the factors that made me choose that apartment.

I find that people who invest in designer furniture often have good taste that shines through in the rest of the apartment.

Anyway, this lighting is just sunlight streaming in through the window.

As the light can’t be moved around, the only thing I have to play with is moving the chair, the model, and myself about whatever light and background are available.

But I find that limitation helps me hone my vision and concentrate on the things I can’t change.

In a studio where you can move both background, chair, model, and light, you have infinite options.

Sometimes having fewer options is better, at least for me, as it requires you to concentrate on the available options.
