Hi everyone!

I am very excited about adding to the Skeleton Dino collection with the Fully Print-in-Place Ankylosaurus. The skeleton dinos continue to be my most requested designs... which is great, because they are so fun to create. Especially this one, with the spiky texture and super flexi tail and body.My son discovered the hilarious handstand feature that balances perfectly hahaha. A happy accident that really adds to the personality of this character. My yogi wife is super jealous, because she hasn't been able to nail this pose yet 🤣Happy Printing -Dan*Please consider tagging @flexifactory/ #flexifactory in your social posts so I can see your amazing prints! AND make sure to share in the private Flexi Factory discord :) To join discord, go to your settings under Apps and connect.Print tips and Info:

  Model DOWNLOADS are HERE!!! https://www.patreon.com/collection/15731

STL and 3MF files are included. * If you use the 3mf file, please remember that it is a painted project file for your convenience. You must check your material/printer/settings to make sure it works correctly for your printing project.

15% infill/gyroid, .12 or .16 layer height for quality suggested

As usual. make sure you have good adhesion, especially for the mini versions. A glue stick works, however I have switched to using on all my machines... a BIQU Cryopgrip Frostbite adhesion plate (LOVE it).

I test printed between 40% and 125% for this design. Consider high quality materials and settings, the smaller you go.

Gradient PLA works well with this model: I have a comprehensive list of Filament I use here: Amazon List

1st photo has 125% and 40% STLs: Amolen Yellow Feldspar Rock and ISanmate Yellow/Green

2nd and 3rd photo 100% 3MFs:  Bambulab Ocean to Meadow Gradient  (I love this one for ocean Flexis too:) Cookiecad Sunrise and your favorite black and white pla

4th photo STLs are 100% and 70%: Ziro Rainbow Blaze and Meadow Mirage*Amazon Affiliate paid links

Omg cannot wait to get this on the printer.

IWeav3d

Very cool!

michael alfaro

we love the bone dinos! just started the printer with one :)

Jim Bishop

Awesome. I have a free printer tonight😂

Donald Holloway

This is amazing, any chance for a brontosaurus in our future? I have a lot of customers ask about it.

Melanie St Onge

OMG!! It's so freakin cute!!! Thank you!

Good Omenz

I have ankylosing Spondylitis - and I am sooo excited for this guy! It's my spirit dinosaur!!

The lost one

Love this dino - cant wait to print him!!

Dan

Maybe the non-skeleton version. Anything with a long neck I haven't quite worked out how to make print in place and also Flexi:-)

Chubby101

Amazing !!! Can't wait to print and add to my collection. Thank you Flexi Factory !!!

James Hunt

I love it great one to add to the ones I make. There a huge hit at craft shows I do. You should do a long neck Dino next. Just a suggestion. Keep up the great work!

Dan

I hope to once I can figure out how to make the neck rigid, but flexible :)

Blake

Are 2 wall loops strong enough on this one?

Silvyr

I am SO excited about this! THANK YOU!!!

Dan

Yes. I printed with 2

Marie Gatland

I love it! Also love the whole skeleton dino collection

Paul G

6 year old Paul would have loved this because ankylosaurus was one of his favorite dinosaurs. 60 year old Paul loves this just as much 😍 Thank you Dan!

Paul G

"My yogi wife is super jealous, because she hasn't been able to nail this pose yet" To be fair the pose is a bear plus she probably doesn't have a tail with a club at the end. I have it on good authority (my cats) that tails, clubbed or not, help with balance. Wait, so is your wife the inspiration for *Flexi* Factory? I bet that's it! Here's my theory: you were originally going to be just "Factory - Purveyor of Fine Rigid Figures", saw her all pretzeled up and said "hold my beer". 🙃

Adam Jones

Very cute addition to the Dinosaur series!!! Thanks for sharing with us!!

Donald Holloway

I don't think the neck moving is that big of a concern. Maybe something like the raptor neck but in a Brontosaurus style. Also, I've been frequently asked about a pterodactyl. Either way, I love all of your work and honored to be a part of your community. Please don't think that I'm complaining in any way, these are merely requests I receive from customers.

Dan

That's a pretty great theory haha.

Christopher Power

Can confirm, the handstand pose works great. 😂

Mike

This came out beautiful in my polymaker satin rainbow. I'm in love!! It came out a mint green with purple to blue gradient on the bottom (describing since I can't show a Picture 😊)

Dan

Unfortunately patreon hasn't added that feature yet. But I always post on social media and you can add it there :-)

LEE ULLAH

love this collection

Gregory Smith

How small can I scale this and the flexi parts still work?

Dan

I tested to 40% as tou see in the picture with no issues. That is quite small :)

SomethingKlever

We just finished our first print at 80%. It came out incredible. Running it again in a different color now.

Steven Heck

I'm curious. I started this last night using the Bambu slicer. I had to enable supports. Has anyone else seen that? Were you able to print without supports? I just enabled supports, no big deal. I'm just wondering about everyone else's success. This is on a P1S 100% with both the Dino and stand on the same plate

Dan

None of my designs need supports and it could hinder the functionality of the design. I test the limits of the slicer, so often it will ask you to enable them but you 100% never ever ever need them:-)

Steven Heck

I thought as much. Thank you for confirming. Love your designs

James Kulm

There is a way. My other creaters each have a communty page that you can post your makes to. It is pretty cool to see other printers takes on models. Some are very creative.

Lidia Heinzel

The Ancylo is soo cool! We love your dinos🥰 Could you maybe make the T-Rex have that notch on its belly so it locks into position?

Blake

Thanks

BC 3D

Are all of the skeleton dinos modeled around the same scale? I'm printing up the collection and want to get the overall scale right.

Dan

I provide a 100% file for each and that is the size I recommend. You are welcome to size up or down though.

joshua williams

every now and then i scale them up 2x or 3x and they sell really well

EJA

pls pls make some sort of crocodile (not a skeleton)

Chelsea Tidwell

My son is Autistic and has also been diagnosed with OCD and ADHD and the reasonI started 3D printing. Finding your page was the biggest blessing. After subscribing he started helping me create and sell items (my little business man). Thank you again for all your family does. I just happened to find you on the month you were supporting the school of autism. On to print the rest of the dino collection :) this one is easily a favorite of his now.

Dan

That is wonderful and thank you so much for sharing! We were able to donate over $10,000 this year to both the School for Autism and Limbitless thanks to the support of this community :) I am so happy to hear that my designs are a part of your families success.

FatPanda

Printed at 80% and turned out perfect. I love the fact that the joints are robust enough to withstand printing slightly smaller.

Dan

Yes, they all do. Just resize in the slicer :)

Bethany McClure

I did at 85% thanks I actually wanted it to fit at 100% so it would be the same as the ones I printed on the x1c

Steven Heck

Good morning. As much as I love the skeleton dinos, the keychains are even better. Any plans on making the ankylosaurus and raptor into keychains?

Dan

I hope to yes.

Steven Heck

That would be awesome. I've been doing multicolored glow in the dark experiments with the keychains and they come out absolutely incredible

Jlperry101889

Another amazing skeleton dino file!! How about a flexi Pterodactyl who can stand by leaning on its legs and wing claws? Amazing work!!

JR

Hi new subscriber here! What is the size of the eyes if I print no eyes? Thank you.

Anthony Maxwell

Since the conivors get a fish/bone why cant the herbivores get a stick/leaf? J/food for thought

Dan

I tend to provide something to put in the mouth when it opens. I don't always design with an open mouth if I feel like the character is better without it. So I did not provide a little extra item for this one. But the Panda which is free comes with a stick. That's a great little prop!

Anthony Maxwell

Totally understand it was j/an idea love it regardless & thank you.

Dan

Please visit the pinned post when you are logged into the platform at the top of the page under out of the Vault discounts. If you are looking for this model however it is under the 40% off discount code as an older public release. If you message me I can show you the links

Cindy

If I scale to 140 so fit the plate full will they be problems with the print???

Dan

Scaling up is great. I have a lot of detail in my print so they scale up beautifully. If you go down to small you can lose some of that detail but no problem for you at 1:40

James Franssen

I can't seem to find the .stl file of this ankylosaurus. Where can I download it? I'm a patreon member.

Dan

It is an older public release. Available with the 40% off discount. It is not on the server any longer included.

James Franssen

Does this mean there is no other way to get this file?

Prstg

Hello. Where can I download the "Flexi Factory Skeleton Ankylosaurus" model? I have a subscription but I can't find this model. Please help.

Mike Hawthorne

Happy holidays. love you prints . I'm new member and would love to print the Samurai, how can i find the Feb 15th 2024 file. thank you.
