HOW-TO video #2 shows how to stain and paint to highlight the Dinosaur Stand. - Craft/Model paint and detail brushes, used with a wet palette work perfectly for these. - I also typically use gel stain as it sets in darker, but typical oil based spreads quicker. - I always set with a clear polyurethane spray. Matte is my preference for the skeleton dinos, but other variations like glossy look great on the dragons and water animals :) Many of the supplies can be found at local hardware and craft stores. Fantastic How To videos!! Thanks so much to you & your wife for taking time and effort to create these videos!!!

Dan

haha. She's fancy. I think a chrome filament would be very cool though!

Awesome dinos, would u be able to put magnets in the feet so they stay on platform?

Did she use the same technique on the nutcracker? I'm printing him at 350% scale (Fingers Crossed) in full color, but definitely want the look of her hand painted one with the stain. Because it's taking 9 days total to print ... I don't want to mess him up lol

Dan

She sure did. That one tuned out beautiful.

Thanks! I’m excited. My kid was just accepted to UT Knox so I’m working a TN themed nutcracker!

Dan

Congratulations and that sounds like a wonderful idea!
