Included in Monthly Downloads for September - December 2025 Patrons Here: DOWNLOADS..........................................................................................Update: 9/17/2025… More neck joints added. Each dino needs 4 small pieces and 4 large pieces totaling 8 when assembled. I try to make the 3mf plug and play, but sometimes I do miss things. On the prior project file there were 5 small and 5 large neck joints which is only enough for one. I have added 10 small and 10 large because I personally like to print extras!………………………………………………………………….What do you do when you can't figure out how to make a Flexi Brachiosaurus neck that's also poseable? Well...you engineer a new mechanic. 🦾After doing a crazy amount of test prints getting that neck just right, I couldn't be happier with the results. The shorter back legs and more upright head position differentiate the Brachiosaurus from the Brontosaurus, and makes it the largest of the Sauropods! I have to admit I had to research a bit to learn about the differences hahaha. As usual, I created two head versions (with and without the eye), a stand, and since this Dino is an herbivore, A little branch it pulled from a tree. Keep your eyes open for the XXL post coming Wednesday. 👀When Putting the neck together, make sure you separate the large and small joints first. Pay attention to the slot orientation, and snap together 4 large on the bottom, and 4 small on the top. And the neck looks amazing because of the way it prints. You can get a very similar effect to multicolor with just a gradient!*Caution: Just like building blocks, they can be hard to get apart once you snap them together.Happy Printing -Dan*Please consider tagging @flexifactory/ #flexifactory in your social posts so I can see your amazing prints! AND make sure to share in the private Flexi Factory discord :) Members can join through the settings/apps tab or direct link in pinned post.

Print tips and Info:

STL and 3MF files are included. * If you use the 3mf file, please remember that it is a painted project file for your convenience. You must check your material/printer/settings to make sure it works correctly for your printing project.

I print with .12 or .16 layer height for quality.

As usual, make sure you have good adhesion, especially for the mini versions. A glue stick works or I have switched to using on all my machines... a BIQU Cryopgrip Frostbite adhesion plate.

Consider a brim if you have concerns about the links losing adhesion, they have a small footprint. And print more than you need :)

I successfully test printed between 50% and 370% XXL for this design.

XXL version must be GLUED together with Super Glue.

Gradient PLA works well with this model: I have a comprehensive list of Filament I use here: Amazon List

1st photo is 100% shows the neck options with 3 or 4 links. You can have some fun and try more if you like!

2nd photo is 110% STL : Printed in Overture Matte Brown and stained. Video Tutorial HERE

3rd photo is 110% 3MF : Printed in Cookiecad Sunrise, Overture Easy Rock White, iSanmate Yellow/Green

Had printers waiting for this!!!

Printable3dLab

So can not wait. I been waiting for a long time for this guy

David Molnar

Always come out with the cool stuff when I can’t print for the next 3 weeks 👍

Blazingale

Yasssss!!! Not the brontosaurus, but I don't care, this is awesome! Fantastic work!

M7 Prints

Outstanding! LOVE it.

Dan

But now that I know how... more Sauropods YES!!!

S&J

This is fantastic! Can't wait to print XXL version!!

Blazingale

That's gonna be so fun!!!

The Lad

Would have cried if this came with a tree star. So thank you for not making me do that but thank you thank you for this Dino!

Dan

Oh I know that Movie! I went with bark because it's a skeleton. I tried a "live" plant but was afraid to mix the two.

The Lad

I’m 36 and still traumatized. So thank you.

Paradoxal_Dinosaur

YASSSS!!! Needs a tree star!! Which I will love dearly but also shed a small tear. 😭

Paradoxal_Dinosaur

Any chance of remixes of the other dinos coming out with movable jaws?

Peter Phillips

Brilliant, another flexi dinosaur to my collection. Thank you.

Dan

Just the ones I have done. Each time I design, it depends on the character whether or not I decide to make the jaw separate. Only update I plan to make it for printability or adding XXL.

Nicole Perkins

Just need an apatosaurus, triceratops, duckbill, stegosaurus, and a flyer.

Stephen Zuschlag

you did amazing i just finished mine in polymaker rainbow glow came out amazing

Dan

I have triceratops for both the skeleton and main version, a Pteranodon skeleton and a stegosaurus skeleton :)

Victoria Tallack

How’s best to snap them together? I keep breaking them? Thanks

Scott Ivey

I have troubles getting them together too - if anyone has some tips for making this easier, i'm all ears.

Bridget Scribner

When testing the small links at 50%, did you have to use a small nozzle?

Dan

I use the same nozzle on all machines, all sized for testing. .4

Dan

I have 6 on the small ones. I designed it for 8, but you can add or subtract to your liking :)

Dan

Make sure you are printing with three walls and check your pla for quality. They should not be breaking when you snap them together. I can understand how they might break when you take them apart because they are supposed to be tight. But please make sure that the pieces are aligned with the spine piece facing in the same direction. Check my little tutorial photo here because maybe you are trying to put them in backwards?

Scott Ivey

I don't have as much problem with them breaking, just being a really tight squeeze to assemble. I really have to push hard on them to get them together, and with the smaller pieces it can be a real challenge. Maybe using a heat gun or even hot water to soften things up may help?

Nicole Perkins

That’s right. I forgot I had those.

Bethany McClure

I love them already printed a few, silk filament click together like butter but matte filament needs a lot more force and is a little less flexi but still very cool looking

Dan

I'm sorry. I test to 50% but I never recommend that small because these are not minis. You may consider bumping up to 70% and that is still quite small.

Dan

Interesting. I used Ziro matte for most of the, 15% infill, 3 walls, .12 layer height and they worked so well!

Bethany McClure

I use ziro rainbow blaze matte and an amolen s-series silk 15% infill, .16 and I forget walls but probably 3

Jason

Love it have no problems printed at 100% and 200%

Donald Holloway

Printed beautifully. This has always been my favorite dinosaur and I’m glad to finally have it. Thank you for your awesome time and work. Your files never disappoint.

Pixels to Plastic

is it just me or is there no link to download it any longer?

Jason

I never understood why we have to go search for the files. People have trouble finding them all the time. Im kinda use to it now but every other sight including myminifactory has a download link right under the picture. It makes it so much easier.

Dan

This is a public post and patreon only allows for posts to be public or hidden. So I have the download post as hidden so the public can't just readily download them. Patreon is not a delivery platform like MMF so there are some workarounds to deliver the content. If you want a more streamlined approach you can join the MMF tribes and they are automatically delivered :) Additionally, if you are opted in for emails you get them emailed to you with a link to download. I send this out each time I add a new model so you don't have to come to the info posts unless you want to see photos and information about the design.

Dan

The download link is right at the top of the page with a giant DOWNLOAD and Link:-) I always have it right at the top of the page. But if you opted in for emails you're also emailed a direct link to the download page so you don't have to come to these info posts unless you want to read about the process.

Dan

I wanted to mention "elephants foot" as a potential issue for those links. Bambu printers compensate for the nozzle being too close to the printer, using horizontal expansion. But for some machines this could cause those first layers to warp and become tight.

Hayley Swindells

I am struggling with this print as all the neck joints just curve the neck down... what am i doing wrong?

Louis Gattone

This is beautiful. is there any way you can help me figure out how to get the head snapped on? I don't want to break it but I'm not seeing where to connect it?

Zack

Question. Is there any way wed be able to get a tutorial on how your wife stains these prints? I use eSun bone white for all the skeleton dinos. But would love to learn how to do something a little different without using gradient filament.

Dan

I answered your post on discord if anyone else has the same issues. Somehow, you printed only one size of the joints and not both the small and large ones. It looks like you may have just printed the small ones.

Dan

Thank you! On the lower jaw piece there is a pop on hole right in the back. You would pop that onto the neck joint attached to the body.

Zack

THANK YOU!!

The Rainbow Robotz

Automatically delivered, as in they will show up in mmf library automatically- without additional steps? This would be great!

Dan

Yes and no. What I was referring to abive was the MMF Tribes. That is a separate but identical membership which I highly recommend over patreon for the ease of delivering files and applying discounts. As an alternative I do have the archive feature. If you set up the same email on MMF as you have for this Patreon account, they will Auto deliver when I send the redeem link on the last day of each month. But if you have to have a different email address on MMF all you need to do is click the redeem link I email you and they will store in your free MMF account.

Louis Gattone

I think I was trying to put the head on a large neck piece. I'm assuming they need to go on the small neck pieces?

SneakySmurf

Needed to post again... This is the best model I've ever printed. Amazing in so many ways. I don't think people understand the technicalities that go into making something like this. Dan, you are a god. Absolute brilliance.

Dan

Correct. Large at the bottom pops onto the neck. Small at the top pops onto the head.

Dan

Well dang, that's a lovely compliment. Very happy that you see the intricacies and complications of pulling something like this off :-)

MamaBear

Am I doing something wrong or did any one else have an issue with the head joint (when snapped on neck) being too loose?

Dan

You can open up a troubleshoot on discord with settings and photos. It is not designed to be loose.

Bridget Scribner

I bet you're right! I'll try leveling again and see if it makes a difference tomorrow. I was going for key chains, so I decided not to go any bigger than 50%

MamaBear

I wish I could, Discord refuses to verify my Phone number

Jana Barroga

is there a connecter for the neck? I put 4 big on bottom but the small will not connect to the big pieces is there a tutorial video for this one? I usually never have issues with your models

Dan

Make sure they all face the same way. If you have reversed them, they won't pop in

Ashley Trieb

I have a boy in my class who is dinosaur crazy. I made the XXL T-Rex and brought it in to show them. He asked if I had a brachiosaurus and I told him I didn't;'t have a file for that dinosaur yet. Then you come out with this! He's going to be so excited!

PATCHTECH3D

Fantastic Model Dan! just so so cool! 😍

Jason

I keep wanting to say this is the best print you have done yet. But I keep saying this all the time. Not just a amazing print but great engineering. It looks even better in person. Now you dont have any excuses to not make the hydra I been asking for for years lol.

Dan

haha. You are right!

RonnieB223

Mine is very loose as well. It stays but barely. Printed on a K2 Plus using the stock profile. All other models print and attach perfectly so far.

Alex Cramp

Mine is also loose, all neck connectors fit to the body fine but with the head, it is loose

MamaBear

ok, I guess it's good to know I wasn't going crazy. lol

Alan

Hi I have just finished assembling the XXL version of the Brachiosaurus. would it be possible for you to design a part to glue on the flat bit of his head as this would finish off the model.

Dan

I will think on that. Obviously it's flat because the way it has to print :)

Julie Clancy

Are there extra pieces? The two small Dinos ones on the plate were printed along with 20 neck pieces

Dan

There are no extra pieces. As long as you didn't make any changes to the plate there are small neckl lnks and large neck links as you can see in the infographic above. The large neck links go on the bottom and you can use three to four of them and the small neck links on the top and you can use three to four of those. You must use both the large and the small links in order to make them function correctly. Additionally, they only go in One Direction so you will see the spine piece at the top and the Slit at the bottom of each.

Julie Clancy

OK thank you I thought I made a mistake but I used 4 of each works great thank you Love this Dino

Dan

Yes, I recommend to ignore

ZeroToPrint

i keep getting this floating warnings. what to do?

Dan

Ignore please. Nothing is floating

Topaz's Vinyl Designs

The neck pieces on the 100% plate are they both small pieces and large pieces to put the neck together? what I printed is not putting the neck upright they all seem to be the same size.

Dan

Yes, there are four large pieces that are longer and for small pieces that are shorter. They may look the same from the top. But the larger pieces go towards the base of the neck and they shorter pieces go at the top. If you look at the infographic on the post you will see the difference in height. And how to place them :-)

Topaz's Vinyl Designs

So all the pieces for the 100% are on the 100% plate and don't need pieces from the 180% is this right.

EdgeWorks3D

Just woke up to the finished print nearly 72hrs after starting and it is the BEST model we have ever printed. it is F'ing AWESOME!!! the quality is crazy good.

Dan

Well that is exciting!

Dan

Correct

Topaz's Vinyl Designs

I print the neck out twice and I still don't see a different in the size. Now when I go over to the 180% plate I see a different. So I add another plate and take all the pieces from the 180% and drop them down too the 100% and it worked.

Simone

Anyone happen to have a video of putting the neck together??

Dan

Have you seen the infographic that comes with the file and above? 4 long/large pieces at the base of the neck, then 4 short/small links attached to the head. Gives it that curve, and you can do 3 of each if you like.

Simone

Yes thank you, I put it together fine. Just had a customer that purchased him ask me as they had accidentally knocked off a few and couldn't work out how to put them back. How they came apart I have no idea as they are pretty tight. Anyway the one ive just finished, I might put a bit of glue on them to make sure 🤷‍♀️ thank you for replying 😊

Robert Smith

Ok I have to ask I am currently printing the torso part and I noticed that the overhangs have some pieces that didn't come out correctly. Is there a certain speed that I should be putting them to for the 370% version? I am using a Kobra 3 Max.

Robert Smith

would be funny to make a head version with magnets and add holiday toppers for extras lol.

Dakota Hazel

what is the brown that you use for the bones, I'm trying to find the filament?

Dan

There will be some bridging on the undersides and that is normal. If you wanted to open a ticket on the Discord with some photos and settings myself and others can chime in about how to reduce the problem.

Dan

I use an overture mat and then my wife stained it as part of the painting process

Al Supak

I am printing the xxl neck with zero black silver. The black ball portion of the previous piece keeps forcing the receiving portion of the upper joint to separate. I am tremendously sanding both the ball and the sockets on all neck joints to get them to pop together without breaking apart. I used all settings that came with the xxl file. Is there a fix for this?

Rejie

I just got the Bambu H2C and now I’m also having the same issue with head being loose. I didn’t have that issue in the Bambu P1S.

Thomas Stapleton-Yabsley

Just wondering if anyone has a rough idea of how much filament is used on the xxl version, I want to keep it all to a 1kg roll so there's no colour difference. Or is there a specific size I could scale up to use just one roll please? And Thankyou

Thomas Stapleton-Yabsley

It's OK I figured it out. Printing it at 240% to be a similar in size to the styracosaurus 🤞
