I'm keeping this in Beta for now because there are a few little adjustments I still want to make. Plus I made about 30 little changes since this last test print. 🤦‍♀️ But I think it's good. (fingers crossed)

Keep in mind you need good adhesion for the feathers.

Thanks again, and Happy printing-Dan

is this print out of beta? Someone found this and wants me to print it for them. I just want to get the right file. thank you

Dan

Oh absolutely. This is a really old post from a couple years back. I don't delete them so people can go back through and read the information. But when you purchase it for 40% off from My Mini Factory or Cults... it's the most updated version.

Stacy Pender

I appreciate your work and response!

Hayley marks

What size did you try to print it in?

Kelly Smith

This is going on the printer now!

Zombie Saint

Oh wow! That looks wicked! Ugh I'm at work for another 3 more hours! Can't wait to finish today!

Dan

I haven't maxed it out on a standard ender sized bed yet.

cobyn

Tig

i found tomorrows project lol

Lastchance

Les pieds sont gros ^^

Michael McAuliffe

At 50mm/s, Cura says this will take 19 hours. I better get started..

Juston William

Luis E Torres

Whoa. I gotta see how this turns out.

Carla Schrum

ohhh cannot wait for one of the printers to get done this is amazing ty much

henry

my ender 3 s1 can do it in 6

Michael McAuliffe

Not at 50mm/s it can't lol. What are your settings?

Michael McAuliffe

My settings are 3 walls, 12% infill, 10mm/s first layer speed, 50mm/s normal speed. 0.2mm layer height. Everything else is stock.

Matthew Redmon

Just started it. 14 hours sized at 100% with 10% infill. I don't want to wait that long (making it for my daughter Phoenix) but also wanted to run it at 0.08mm layer height so I'll have to be a bit more patient than usual. Running at default speeds (up to 450mm/s) except I slowed the outer wall down to 50mm/s (helps with shiny filament like I'm using on this).

Matthew Redmon

Is there anywhere in particular where people post photos of stuff like this?

William Hargraves

Good adhesion isn't my problem, getting it off Is 😅 glass beds are good and bad but the same with pei beds but definitely way easier to remove prints . I be biting my nails trying to remove this one off the ultrabase 🤣

Dan

Haha..oh no. Too good

Dan

Yep. On our discord! Links at the bottom of the main flexi factory patreon page.

Dan Phillips

I’ve been thinking of getting that v400. In your opinion, is it worth it?

William Hargraves

Yes me too ive watched nearly every video on the Flsun v400 and the pros seem to outweigh the cons by a substantial margin and when my best printer at the moment is a anycubic kobra(Standard) anything is going to be better granted the Kobra prints far better and quicker than either of my enders(original and V2) can but nothing like that beast, ive been playing around with slicing things for a Flsun SR and even it can print a full mando helmet in under 14hrs in 0.2mm layer height, thats insanity. I can not decide whether to just the Q5 first then the super racer then a V400 is my biggest issue

Renae ziebell

Do you need supports on this? Sorry I'm new to printing

Mawk

This model is awesome! I am going to try this on my Ender 2 Pro, since it has a .4 nozzle, it fits at 73%, have you tried printing it this small yet?

Paul R

Oooo love it. I’ll be Eagle-rly waiting for this one in gold.

Andrew Acevedo

I'm using .6 Nozzle, 3 Walls, 20% Infill and smack dead on @ 13hrs

Alan Davis

Sweet! Very cool bird! Can’t wait to print it.

Dan

I have not tried that small.

Mark Wheadon

I'm loving how this lays out on the print bed – I'd say this is going to look stunning in rainbow filament – the rainbow should coruscate across the wings 🎉

Tracy K

Starting one on the Bambu this morning - ETA: 6hr, 15min

Mark Tuttle

At a show todaY and the comments from our customers has been great on the pictures. Can't wait to make some.

James Smith

Tanner

my Prusa mk3s took just over 7 hours with 15% infil

PROTONORD

Printing it now 👌.. 0.6 nozzle and 0.19 layer height.

Mawk

I’m curious how it’ll come out, the articulation looks tight. I was going to try it on a .6 nozzle also, could you please post your results? Thank you!

Zac Walker

Printed Beautifully! Absolutely love this one Dan!

Daveks6 k

Daveks6 k

Kevin Porter

PROTONORD

I have done the Jeti with the same setup and worked out great. 9 hour print so it is done during the night. Sharing tomorrow.

Astrocyte Cosplay

Got a new rainbow filament to try out. Think this will be the print to try it on.

Brendan DeBeasi

To the guy with the Bambu printer. 6hrs on a bambu. Going to take foreverrrrr on my ender 3

Rad3D

Printed great, and the way it stands up is awesome

LAVIStudios4U

Printed great at 100%. 17 hrs on ender 3 S1. Looks amazing. Keep up the great work and thanks for the inspirational kick. I was getting bored and ready to shelve my printers.

Daryl Adams

Printed at 100%. Turned out great. Now printing at 75% with rainbow filament. Thanks for all you hard work Dan.

Brandon Wieber

marsgizmo

ToXiC FisCYN

Oliver Duchene

I printed it first it failed so I printed it again and its really cool, cant wait for more stuff like this.

William Hargraves

had issues on the enders but no problem on the anycubic . great model

AC3D-Prod

Printed Great at 100% on Ender3 S1. (12h00 @70mm/s - 10% Infill) Thanks for all.

PROTONORD

I posted it on Discord now under the pphoto section. 0.6 nozzle and 0.19 layer height work. Bit stringy so need to tune retraction a bit more

marsgizmo

it came out perfect, from the X1 Carbon

2026-09-06 23:00 Looks amazing! Can i ask what fillament you used? I'm thinking to use cookiecad sunrise since i see you used the brand a couple times before

Jacob Hilderbrand

Do you post recommended settings for printing your designs?

Sarah Taubert

This prints out awesome. We have printed 2 and both are perfect

Dan

I really don't because I have so many machines and different settings. If you join the discord on the main page, there are lots of folks there with great ideas and recommendations. I just kind of put standard for most of my prints 15 to 20% infill, three walls..

Dan

I will always sell on Cults... But patrons get early releases. Especially this one, I won't be coming out to the public until probably December.

Dan

I'm using several different filaments now for my marketing photos. That one was just a gray, I have the Amazon list here on patreon if you want to see what filaments I own. I just slept a light on there to make it more fiery 😁

Gotwood Customs & 3D Prints

ive printed 4 normal size and im waiting on x2 175% ones to finish they have come out absolutely perfect

👻 Danelle 🪬

I just printed this and it is gorgeous! I added a brim for fear the adhesion needed the support but I think even without the brim it would've been perfect!

tom shaw

just printed the phoenix printed outstanding!!!!!

Sabrina Hart

The Phoenix is amazing.... I love it!!

Print3dReality

I have printed this at 100%, 80% and all seems fine. Update on the 70%. the print came out great on the build plate. once I had time to get it off the build plate. Thats where it showed up. the tail fuses together at this small. The middle wings don't articulate well. The tips and feathers all move as they should and the head. the legs won't come down all the way. I have not tried 75%. However I will add. that at 80% the Phoenix articulates off the build plate without any post processing. 70% is too small. The links are too square for it to move.

Barry Cripps

Printed at 100% scale with a Duet 2 Wifi and color-shift PLA. Looks amazing! The only issue I had was keeping the feathers stuck to the bed for the whole print. I have a Wham Bam PEI sheet, and sticking isn't usually a problem, but I had to use some glue on this one, otherwise one or two of the feathers would release from the bed 1/3 of the way through the print. I love all of your designs....keep them coming! :-)

Andrew Henderson

Prints amazing on my prusa's and ender 3 s1 pros. never once an adhesion issue. please tell us your making a killer flame style display stand for this guy????!!!!!!!

PROTONORD

I used textured plate and 3Dlac spray. No issues for any prints :-)

scott manning

Printed Great on my anycubic Vyper. No adhesion problems at all. Came out perfect!!!!

Tiffany Gobkes

Printed at 65% on my Artillery Sidewinder X2 and it came out beautiful. I have a Fulament flex bed and used the smooth side with no adhesion issues. <3 I was worried it would be a bit fragile at that size but so far the 4 year old test has proven it to be surprisingly strong for the size. She has been pretty gentle with it though. So far no breaking even with me flailing it around excitedly. Update: My husband dropped it and it broke. XD Only one feather and a wing snapped off but that apparently is how it landed from his full height onto concrete. I've now discovered my husband is a better stress test than my child. :b

Anthony Reuter

All I run is Creality glass beds, they do stick almost to much new, but Ive found a slightly more gapped offset helps till they are broke in

Anthony Reuter

Ive Printed 5 so far and have found no weak points yet at 100% size. They are also flying off as soon as they get done to! LOL

Alex

Flexi you can retire now. This is your masterpiece. Everyone go home how. 3D printing is finished.

Dan

Hahah. I am waaaay too young to retire :) But I really like this model.

Dan

Probably won't change the design much, but I do have another "surprise."

Tiffany Gobkes

It is an amazing model. I think it's my favorite that I've printed so far. It's a pretty high bar to beat in the future. XD I have a love hate with the complex prints like this. They're so beautiful but I'm so scared of breaking them.

Alex

I did 75%. It's absolutely perfect. Feels delicate, but no problems at all.

Alex

There's nothing to worry about with this one, printed at full scale. Maybe add 3 or 4 lines of a brim. Just make sure there's a tiny gap between the print and the brim before you you let it get past the 2nd layer.

Courtney Pacula

I broke a wing joint at 75% getting it off of the plate.

Tiffany Gobkes

Oh I'm not saying I've had any issue. I just often get requests to make them small and that's where my worry comes from. The more simplistic models scale down a lot easier. I printed one of these at 65% just to test how small I could go and it was beautiful and decently strong for the size... that is until my husband dropped it on a concrete floor. XD

Dan

I'm not telling ;)
