I just updated it here!

Okay, I made several updates to this guy based on all of your suggestions.

* He Stands better! It was driving me nuts that his joins would occasionally lock up. They shouldn't do that anymore...or at least a lot less.

*more easily paintable shoes

*text on the backthanks Mark Tuttle for the great suggestion "Be Mine" on the back.

*Multiple versions. Some with text and some without. The AMS version is only different in the way the "Be Mine" text sits. (It had to be cut really shallow for it to work correctly)

For the Bambu file I put 2 on the plate. with, and without hanger. I also tried to be smart about the coloring for minimal waste. (most of the print just prints in 2 colors)

I am printing some AMS now, and if it all goes well I will update the photo tomorrow

Thanks for all the great suggestions,-Dan

To print like the ASM is printing you would have to break the model into different parts for each color and glue them together. You technically could do a bunch of filament changes to do it , but it would probably take you a year to print a model. If they are like the ginger breadman you can do a single filament change where the icing layer starts. You can also do inlays on the first couple of layers to get a nice flat colored surface of text, image logo, etc.

Marti Reusch

In the last 2 weeks I've done nothing but AMS prints from flexi factory and none have taken more than a couple hours extra to print at the very most with them being 2-4 colors and hundreds of filament changes. You can very easily paint sections of the model and print with ease as one complete model. no assembly required.

DayOne3D

38% on my Bambu X1 Carbon. Would not try it on my Ender 3's though.

DayOne3D

Dan, I would not be mad if you adapted this design into a 4 leaf clover or a leprechaun for a certain holiday...I'm just sayin...lol.

Vitaliy Bondarenko

I think I missed: What is the difference between Flexi Factory Heart_Be Mine_AMS.stl and Flexi Factory Heart_Be Mine.stl ? Both have be mine writing and looks the same in the slicer

Chris (CAV217)

Dan, Is it possible to remove the "Be Mine" so we can customize the wording on the back? I love the "Be Mine" for now, but I am thinking of any other yearly benefit like Happy Anniversary, or just I love you. I am using the Bambu slicer and am wondering if this is authorized from to to make changes?

Dan

Hi there! There is a version that does not have the wording on there. For this design only...I will allow customization of the wording on back. No changes to the design or functionality please.

Dan

The AMS file is for multi color printers, like the Bambu

Dan

Haha, good idea...thank you

Vitaliy Bondarenko

When I open them in Prusa slicer for multi coloring I don't see any difference...

Freddie tovar

Time to get the printer running to get these made for my kids v day gifts at school. As always great work.

Lindsay LaVigne

Me too! I have 3 in elementary school so I'll be busting out 60 of these. I dropped the size to 65% and they are perfect hand held versions!

Dan

Yep, would like to see it slightly slower, but wow! So many options with this printer.

Tulsa Arcades

So mine failed on my bambu not sure what I did wrong but the right hand didn’t support or something any suggestions

Jaden Hudson

add support that should fix it or change the temp i did mine at 220

Antoinette Alderette

I have tried to print the heart with hanger twice and the right bottom part tends to move even with changes to speed and infill

Antoinette Alderette

So I tried printing the other files and I get the same problem of the right bottom part of the arm failing, it keeps moving and coming off. I have changed the temp to 220, infill and speed slower with no luck. I’m only able to print like 10% of the whole file. Help

Dan

You can send pics to flexifactory@gmail.com. I can try to help you troubleshoot

Dan

Adhesion issue? You can send pics to flexifactory@gmail.com. I can try to help you troubleshoot

Dan

Email me some photos flexifactory@gmail.com or you can also join the Discord. You can put photos up there and have a lot more people help troubleshoot. Just go to your settings when you're logged into patreon flexi Factory and you can connect the app.

Rosalynda Epley

i know this might sound goofy but what are the differences between the files above? my husband and i print with an ender 3 pro and i believe usually use stl files. what are AMS ones? should i download those as well? thank you in advance.

LunarXpressions

i printed this in the AMS and the first 2 turned out perfect was so excited to print more but every time after the tool head gets clogged halfway through the print, could it be because i am using generic filament? should i buy the filament correct for the AMS?

TimE

Dan

Generic can be fine...but when it's bad, it's bad. Happens to the best of us :(

Terri

so i have these same two questions, i have tried printing twice and both times the right hand comes loose from the bed and messes up, i did get one last try and it worked, but did it again and same issue. and i was wondering about the ams as well what does this mean?

The Creation Circus

Dan…I would like to make these for my Granddaughter’s day care friends as Valentine’s Day gifts. Is there anyway to make the text customizable on the back?

Jocie Braaksma

I LOVE YOUR MODELS!!! Just Sayin....

Kris Garner

Any way to change the text on the back? I want to print some with the different candy heart sayings on them

Kris Garner

I print mine on the X1CC with a 2mm brim at 0.25 spacing. I am also printing on a smooth PEX plate. I haven't had a hand come loose since adding the brim

Dan

You can send photos to flexifactory@gmail.com if you would like some help. Or also connect to the discord for Flexi factory and post there for feedback. The AMS is Automatic Material System. It is the ability to add multiple colors of filament to one machine, Like the Bambu or Prusa.

Chris & Tracy Mathews

@flexifactory any thoughts on changing the heart into a Shamrock for St Patrick's day?

Dan

It is now :)

Katie Jensen Rivera

He should have a girlfriend heart…since it’s for Valentine’s Day…

Dan

I did give a blank version that can be engraved, or maybe add a sticker? There is a much more complicated way of modifying the design.

Chomper 3D Creations

I’m having a problem where the top of the nose and feet get messed up.

Chesnye Gardner

Can you tell me what settings you use to print this?

Paige's Purlieu

I’ve had issues before with one part peeling up, my biggest suggestion is glue sticks!! I glue my plate between almost every print. You can also try and edit where your seams start cause it’s probably pretty likely that your seam is starting on the fingertip of the right hand and that will cause it to peel up a lot easier if you don’t have good bed adhesion

Paige's Purlieu

Sooooooo I just got around to printing this and I REALLY want to make the ones with hangers into keychains but I’m realizing the hanger on these guys is rather tiny and I know it’s going to be a lot more sturdy than the vertical ones but still people are really hard on keychains, so I was wondering if there’s any way you could beef up the hanger a bit and possibly make it more round? Like your other keychain designs? Much appreciated if you can!!! ☺️

Dan

I will put it on my task list, but kinda swamped with T-rex, the bonus and my new design. I will see if I can squeeze it in.

Paige's Purlieu

I’d say the problem is more likely the nozzle or something! Most printers are easy to change. If your filament is extruding in a spiral when on standby, you definitely need to replace it.

Paige's Purlieu

No worries! I’m not going to be in any craft shows till after Valentine’s so I’m not in any hurry 😊

Terri

thanks guys but i just baby stepped the bed and all is good again just had to take a min away, now 14 hearts later. lol

Ken Newton

Is there a version where the "Be Mine" is flush with the back of the model? I finally started one up and according to my slicer it won't be started until layer 3 Thanks for the awesome work!

David Jon Sieben

why not try a keyring with loop cord so its not metal on plastic.

Ireneusz

Hello, I'm new here and I'm having trouble finding links to projects. Where can I find stl for these hearts? Best regards and I'm counting on many cool projects

Dan

Good morning. In terms of the links, it depends on what you are trying to find. The easiest way to access all the downloads that you get for the month is in the July download folder. That can be found in the collections tab at the top of the page. Additionally, there is a bonus folder there that has all of the bonus files. If what you're looking for is not in either of those then that falls into category of older public release, and I offer that with the 40% off discount. So Herbert the heart the full size version is an older public release.

Frostbit Shadow

Damn, after I'm finishing up a 22 hour 6 color print. Them shoes were a bit of a pain so thank you for making it easy to change it up now! Will post a pic/time-lapse when done

Marti Reusch

Yay! Thank you!! Was really hoping for a valentine's item!

2026-09-06 23:00 Wow, that is awesome; thank you so much! The Flexi Factory Heart_Be Mine_AMS, is an STL, so it's one color only, and I don't see any text. Did I miss something? I also see the first 2 layers of the text are not there, like embossed, in the 3mf file. I wonder why, is it like an embossed effect?
2023-01-19 01:52

Roberto Mello

The only one that is painted is the "Flexi Factory Hearts_Be Mine.3mf". STL is not a painted format :(

Paul Rice

Does the multi-color file work with other printers and/or slicers? I've got two dual color printers that need to see some action. I use Cura 4.x and 5.x for my Lotmaxx shark V2 and V3, both of which are dual color.

2026-09-06 23:00 Just tried to print the 3mf on the Bambu X1 Carbon, but since the first 2 layers on the text are empty, I get a mess once the white is starting at layer 3. I can't print it.... anyone else tried it?
2023-01-19 02:08

Paul Rice

Well that sucks. I guess only the Bambu users get multicolor fun. 😢 I've yet to figure out how to convert a model into multicolor (without Prusaslicer).

Nikki Line

guess i’m printing him again 😂

Dan

Unfortunately, I can only work with machines I have. Not able to test print on dual filament. But I assure you if I get one, I would provide the files :)

Roberto Mello

That’s what I said. STL is not a painted format.

J Maxx

Love the text on the back idea, thank you 😁

Dan

So yes, you wouldn't see the text in the AMS STL. that's because I had to do something a little tricky. I had to cut it just barely enough so I can change the color in the bambu slicing software, yet not be cut enough that it goes into a second layer. If you have the bambu with AMS I suggest just simply opening the .3mf file and using that.

Dan

I believe the dual color setups require multiple files merged into one. I'm currently looking into this. I also have a feeling that since bambu and prusa allow you to paint, it's only a matter of time before other slicers integrate that technology.

Dan

Crap! I gave the wrong file

Paul Rice

I was looking into Meshmixer to break it into separate "models"/pieces. My experience with dual color, it's the same across most printers (Prusa, SOVOL, Lotmaxx). I would use Prusaslicer, but have there is no dual color printer profile and the ones I have used have too many issues.

Dan

So sorry, yes the file that was there didn't work correctly. I spent 3 hours what today fixing that problem and then I ended up posting the old one. 😬 the new one is there now

Yusuf Carrim

I was about to print 50 of these! Hahaha. You legend!

Dan

Whew! glad I updated it in time.

Paul Rice

No supports needed.

Rhiannon Sanchez

It's very nice of you to work so hard to accommodate so many people and types of printers

Leigh Johnson

New model definitely works better, i'm not a big fan of the 'FF' logo stamped on the new models now though. It wont mean anything to people who buy them or giving to friends so not sure what the point is, it just mars the finished model

David Marti

What's the smallest size anyone's scaled it down too? Was thinking about printing some smaller versions too.

Herb Veitenhans

I'm going to try 50% right now with the hanger

Herb Veitenhans

I agree, I'm not a fan of the 'Andy' marking. His designs are pretty unique so I don't think the "FF" is really necessary. That's just me though.

Derrick McKee

did a few at 50.. for my kids that came out great...

Kris Garner

I agree. Or if you need to put a maker's mark on it somewhere, put it somewhere hidden

Allen Smith

Wow, nice. With how fast that goes, you are going to have to reduce the speed of your timelapse playback! lol

Frostbit Shadow

Agreed, I'm waiting on a new turn table and then eventually I'll be editing these to be a few minutes long and moving these short ones to YouTube shorts

Herb Veitenhans

The heart with the loop and a 1" keyring printed at 50% is almost unusable. The keyring doesn't want to go on easily and doesn't spin around well. I'm going to try another at 60%. Mechanically everything works well at 50% though, the ring is just a bit too tight.

Jo

i agree, remake it a bit slower :)

@d3d_creative

Yep I tried 50% and hole to small, think 65% might be lowest to go here.

Christopher Click

I have a goth girlfriend that I'm going to print this out for in monochromatic colors (Black/White/Gray/Red highlights) and want to add a little skull to the shoe tongue. Any suggestions on how i can do this ?

Wayne Parker

i can post pictures on the facebook page where i have printed these at 50% and use them as keychains it is 100% do able at 50% if your printer is dialed in right

Wayne Parker

I have printed several at 50% they are completely functional

Paige's Purlieu

Okay lol I must be out of the loop, what does AMS mean?

Peter

Anyway for us non-bamboo guys to print this out in two colors?

Marti Reusch

Automatic Material System, it's Bambus version of the pallete & makes prints multicolor/multimaterial
