Flexi Factory Alicorn, Unicorn, Horse and Pegasus (Patreon)

Ok folks...#teamteeth or #teamnoteeth??? You now have options for 4 different models. 

I got several requests for these. I went ahead and added the ALICORN, plus all models without the delightful toothy grin. Had to keep it smiling though, because I have never met a mean horse :)

Personally I still prefer the cheesy grin version. I strive to have all my models overflowing with personality.  With this model I was going for the prince who takes himself seriously but no one else does, and I feel I nailed it.

The closed mouth version is still that character, just before showing his pearly whites.😁

Changed the files system a bit, because there are sooooo many models for this release.  And of course I added the Prusa and Bambu 3mf files for those that want them. ***Share your pics and posts...I love to see them. Going to take some much needed rest,Happy Sunday and Happy Printing -Dan

I think no teeth is better but I had a couple with teeth at a show yesterday next to the knights and people loved them. Would be cool to see the horse version with knight armour 🤔

I’m honestly really, really glad you did no teeth versions!!! I didn’t actually comment or anything on the original post but when you first posted it I verbally said out loud to my husband that I wished the teeth weren’t on there, not because I didn’t like it but because I KNOW the Karen’s of craft shows will complain because I’ve had people complain about things like that before. And honestly it hurts MY feelings (even thought they aren’t my designs) which is one of the few reasons why I’m really glad sometimes that I don’t design the stuff I sell at craft shows much anymore. But I’m also totally glad that you include a lot of character in all your designs because it’s something that makes these flexi’s stand out from all the others!! I love that it ensures originality, even if someone has a million unicorns they won’t have one that looks exactly like this!!!

I don't see how to paste in or attach a photo, but my unicorns turned out great. One of my feathers in one of the wings on the Pegasus flops down too much as the square corner failed a little and is rounded. I super-glued a piece of PLA to the rounded corner to prevent it from flopping down. That was a very long print. They turned out great though.

Dan, my wife and I love your first print.in contest so didn't my customers. Yesterday we sold out! I had to order The Bambu p1p, hopefully it will help me keep up with sales. Keep up the good work. In the future may be a joisting knight and horse. I would love to sell at our Renaissance fair, that kind of stuff would fly out of our booth. Keep up the outstanding work.

So I must be dumb but where are the wings? :-) If I open the Pegasus as a project in Bambu Slicer or Orca Slicer I don't have any wings. It's totally strange. I've printed 100's of Flexi Factory models but for the life I me I can't see the wings. Pretty sure it some simple thing I'm not doing.

Absolutely love the option to do teeth or no teeth. I feel some like the horse feels better with the teeth and then love the unicorn without them. Love all the models and this month feels even more worth it so far with all the customization. I need better filament but got the unicorn printed. Tail had issues but positive it’s my filaments fault. I’ll figure out how to share photos of it soon :)

Correct. Separate file in the zip. Just so they can be added to the print or separated in a different color.

It would have complications. A big one being the size you could print it. Due to the layout on the bed.

Love the updates! One very small request - would you consider releasing Prusa 3mf files of the no-teeth versions? Having a hard time hand-painting the color transition in the insides of the hooves and of course Prusa won't open Bambu 3mf files

Everything I use fit in the AMS. I have had to return a couple not posted here because they switched to paper spools. Hope that doesn't become a problem.

Dan do you have any recommendations for pile up in the bambu poop chute on these multicolor prints? Seems any time I'm doing models with color changes, I get it all jammed up and it pauses over night making long prints extra long. Thanks!

It does happen unfortunately. Did you print a cathcher? I found it helps. But sometimes, depending on the filament, it does gum up. You can also send an alert to your phone to message you when it stops. I find it helpful. Not that I like being woken up, hahaha.

There's also a setting in the Bambu slicer that lets you have some of the purge filament go to the infill.

Definitely print a larger bucket or one of the available funnels to have it drop to a 5gal bucket or bin/box.

Unfortunately the bucket isn't the problem. Its that it gets caught on the chute itself and not even making it to the bucket, even if the chute and bucket are empty

The horse file is an older public release. All the public releases that you do not receive this part of your membership are available for 40% off. That can be found in the discount section at the collections tab at the top of the page.
