Final illustrations - week 5 & 6 (Patreon)

I wanted to share the illustrations I made inspired by the Portugal and Spain references in one post. My favourite Portugal references were definitely the little door with the flowers on both sides and the bridge on the beach 🤗 And I loved the colour combinations of both!

I tried to loosen up by not making a sketch first with every image. I just started with brush pens right away! I don’t do that with every image, sometimes it’s nice to know where the objects have to be in your drawing. But with the door, I only made a little sketch of where the door was placed and then started with the brush pens! So you can always try to loosen up and make a much less detailed sketch! 😊

I wanted to share the base layer of the little Portuguese door with you! As you can see it’s very basic, only with 4 different colours. I first drew the door, followed by the little flowers and leaves, and at the end I filled the floor and the wall.

This week we're going to draw Italy, which I'm really excited for!! 🤗
