Minimalistic references - Week 9 (Patreon)
Content
Good morning everyone! 🤗
I feel like I'm in my minimalistic summer vibes era! I love to search for these kinds of images on Pinterest. The photos have such a calm and peaceful appearance. They make you feel you want to go on a holiday right now and lie at the beach, read, draw, and eat ice cream. At least, that's how they make me feel, haha. ☀️
This weekend I created an acrylic painting of the first still life image with the citruses and melons. I am in love with the colours and the set-up of this picture. I feel like going to paint more in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned! Maybe this is your sign to try out different mediums as well!
Materials
I used the following materials for my painting:
Paint ON mix media multi techniques paper (A4 - 250g/m2 - 115lb)
Some acrylic brushes
Amsterdam acrylics:
Prussian Blue Phthalo (566)
Olive Green Deep (622)
Olive Green Light (621)
Sky Blue Light (551)
Yellow Ochre (227)
Titanium White (105)
Van Gogh Acrylic paint: Licht oxide red (339)
A black colour I bought a while ago, I don't know the brand of this one, but you can buy any black colour of any brand you want.
I don't like to mix too much, so I bought some colours of paint that fit my own colour palette already. This way I can mix them and stay in the same palette. It also helps when I have to mix a colour again to get the right colour much quicker.
