Good morning everyone!! 🤗

I wanted to draw some houses again this week, and when I searched on Pinterest, I stumbled upon a photo series of the scientist and photographer Sejkko. I really got inspired by his images of the lonely houses and wanted to include them as this week's references! If you want to see more of his work you can visit his Instagram page: @sejkko

Personally, I really love the vibe of the way he approaches his photographs and I think it's great to make some illustrations of these images! Also, it's a great way for us to practice some houses again!! 😊

About Sejkko

The son of Portuguese immigrants in Venezuela, Manuel Pita, also known as “Sejkko,” is a scientist and photographer who expresses his creativity on Instagram. In his latest series, “Lonely Houses,” Sejkko’s surreal photos capture the traditional houses of Portugal, edited to “bring them as close as possible to the way my eyes see them,” he explains.

Final illustrations references week 10

For the house and the rabbit I only used a few brush pen colors to keep it simple:

Tombow 126

Tombow 912

Ecoline 374

Tombow 451

Tombow 133

For pencils I used the juniper green (165) for the greenery, the sanguine (188) for the details of the house and the ears of the rabbit. For the house I also used the dark indigo (157) and for both the rabbit and the house I used a dark brown color for the darker parts 😊

For the girl in the meadow I tried soft pastels for the first time! I actually really enjoyed it and it got me even more out of my comfort zone! Definitely recommend trying it sometime! I bought the Toison d’or extra soft pastels with 12 pieces 😊
