Hello everyone! 🤗
A few weeks ago, I posted a poll about what kind of subject you would want to see a tutorial. Lots of you chose animals, and one of the requests was for me to draw a fox. I loved that idea because I had never drawn a fox before! It really was something out of my comfort zone, but I enjoyed it a lot. Hopefully, you will too! ✨🤗
Some tips regarding this reference:
As you can see I erased his nose in the sketch because it was too big, it looked more like a dog than a fox. So make sure you draw the nose a little bit smaller.
When you add the base layer, let it dry before adding the second layer with pencils. It helps with the pencil textures when you draw on dry paper.
Don't try to draw every hair you see, squeeze your eyes and draw mostly the parts that are a bit darker. You can always draw some hairs in the lighter sections later.
Use the dark indigo pencil at the end to make some sections darker. Draw it on the dark brown colour so you won't see that it's a blue colour.
Materials
For this reference, I chose a small selection of colours. For brush pens, I used:
Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)
Ecoline 374 (Pink Beige)
For coloured pencils, I used:
Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)
Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)
Faber-Castell 186 (Terracotta)
Stabilo aquacolor 630 (Dark Brown)
