Hi everyone! 🤗

I think every artist knows about times when you feel like there is no creativity inside of you. The harder you try to think of something to create, the harder it gets. This is why I post a few small drawing prompts once in a while, to get that creative flow going again! ✨

For more art block breakers, see this post: Exercise: Art block breakers - Part 1

Exercise 1: Word-to-Image 🖋️

Write down five random words (For example: balloon, rain, fox, clock, castle).

Pick one or more of these words and create a quick drawing that interprets the word.

Don’t overthink it, let your creativity flow. Combine words for an unexpected result!

Exercise 2: Draw Your Day ☕

Make a visual diary of your day.

Pick three moments you experienced today (For example: breakfast, a walk, coffee break).

Draw small illustrations to capture these moments. If you'd like, you can add short notes or captions.

Exercise 7: Shape Transformation ✂️

Draw 5-10 simple geometric shapes (circles, squares, triangles).

Look at the shapes and transform them into something recognizable (For example: a circle can become a sun or a face).

Add details to bring your illustrations to life!

Sharing

Post your illustrations from the drawing prompts in our group chat or in the comment section below. What kind of exercises get you out of an art block? 🤗

Happy drawing! Celyn 🌸
