Hello everyone!! πŸ€—

A little extra tutorial today for all members (also free members). I chose to draw some olives and an olive tree for January's tutorial. In this post you can draw along while I illustrate an olive tree. βœ¨πŸ€—

Here you can watch the tutorial of the olives: Video tutorial - Olives

Some tips regarding this reference

Try to make little leave shaped dots when drawing the base layer of the leaves.

Play with different amount of pressure when drawing with the pencil, to get more depth.

Draw the leaves with a pencil as little scribbles. Try to loosen up when drawing to get a natural effect.

Make sure to darken the middle area of the tree.

Materials ✨

For brush pens, I used these colours:

Tombow 126 (Light olive)

Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)

Ecoline 374 (Pink Beige)

Tombow 133 (Chartreuse, Light green)

For coloured pencils, I used:

Faber-Castell 165 (Juniper Green)

Faber-Castell 283 (Burnt Siena)

Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)

Reference picture

This tree is one of my favorites! With my parents we went to Italy a lot. So always when I see this tree, it immediately reminds me of vacation.
