Hi!! πŸ€—

Another challenge this week! It has been a long time ago since I drew eyes. But I definitely loved doing it again! Hope you will like it as well! Please let me know in the comments if you would like references like this more often!

You will find my sketches, tips, base layers and final illustrations, together with the materials I used, down below. πŸ€—πŸ₯°

Green eye

Before starting the base layer, it is important to make a sketch first! I used my sanguine pencil and sketched the outline of the eye, the iris, the pupil, the lines above and under the eye and the reflective spots in the iris.

I used the following Tombow brush pens as a base layer:

Tombow 126 (Light olive)

Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)

Tombow 553 (Mist Purple)

Tombow 772 (Dusty rose)

Ecoline 374 (Pink Beige)

This was the most challenging part, because as you can see, the base layer itself doesn't make a very pretty drawing... but this is part of the process!

For the second layer, I used the following Faber-Castell Pencils:

Faber-Castell 283 (Burnt Siena)

Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)

Faber-Castell 278 (Chrome Oxide Green)

Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)

With these colored pencils, you can add as much detail as you want! My favourite part is drawing the eyelashes and the pupil (With all the different colors).

Brown eye

For this one, I also started with a sketch, while drawing the same parts as I described before.

I used the following Tombow brush pens as a base layer:

Ecoline 374 (Pink Beige)

Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)

Tombow 991 (Light Ocre)

For the second layer, I used the following Faber-Castell Pencils:

Faber-Castell 283 (Burnt Siena)

Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)

I wish you all lots of fun with this week's references, and don't hesitate to show your illustrations in the group chatπŸ€—
