Good morning everyone!! πŸ€—

For this month’s drawing exercise, I wanted to choose something with cozy fall vibes. πŸ‚You can approach this challenge however you like!

I personally went on a little nature walk with the mission to collect all kinds of fallen leaves. Once I got home, I pressed them between the pages of a big book for a few days so they’d flatten nicely. Of course, you can also gather inspiration on Pinterest if there aren’t many leaves around anymore.

🍁 Drawing Ideas

1. Draw a single large leaf on a full sketchbook spread.Take your time to go very detailed. Capture the veins, the subtle color shifts, the texture, the shading, etc.!

2. Create a spread filled with different kinds of leaves. This approach can be looser and more playful. Focus on the shape, color, and essence of each leaf rather than getting every detail perfect.

Sharing

As always, I’d love to see your results! Post your sketches in our group chat or in the comments below. I can’t wait to see what you create! πŸ€—

Happy drawing! Celyn 🌸
