Because I like to have a bit of variation in the illustrations we create, I decided that we will combine the two most popular themes.

✨ What you can expect in July

A little overview of the content I will share with you this month. With the content calendar, you'll have an idea when to expect which reward! All content will be based on drawing lakeside landscapes & adding tiny cottages.

Theme of the month

This month, we'll be diving into how to draw landscapes with lakes, water and tiny cottages. I will give you tips & tricks on how to approach the references and create pretty and cute nature illustrations 🥰

The goal is not only to show you my process, but also to help you feel more confident when drawing your own lakeside landscapes with tiny cottages. I hope you'll discover that they're not as scary as they might seem at first! We are going to loosen up and use colors to create details and texture!

✨ June overview

Last month, we focused on drawing cute little animals. It was a hard one, but I hope you had still fun with exploring something new! 🥰 I shared lots of content last month. We had 4 weeks of reference images, step-by-step illustration posts, and of course:

✨ How am I doing?

To give you a little insight into my work as an illustrator, I will share an update each month on what I've been up to in the previous month. June was a month where I enjoyed a holiday & got some really amazing illustration jobs to work on 🥰

Illustration jobs I'm working on and new ones!!

Soo currently I'm already working on a very cute children's book. It is going to be such an amazing book for baby's and I can't wait to finish it! The collaboration with the writer is going so smoothly, so I'm very happy to be working on this project!

I finished a commission for a couple who wanted me to create an illustration of their home with them sitting on their porch with their lovely little dog at golden hour. It was a challenge to create a golden hour look, but I think it worked out quite lovely. 🤗

And last but not least, I got a request to create a birth announcement card. These are one of my favorite commissions, because how amazing is it to create an artwork for a new life? 🥰

I told you a bit about it in last month's post. I am working hard to create a course that anyone who is interested in drawing my style or drawing with brush pens & pencils in general can join!

Because I had a very busy month, I wasn't able to work on the course as much as I wanted to. But that's okay, I just want this course to be a very good starting point for people who want to start drawing with brush pens & pencils, so I don't want to rush into getting it finished. I want to have my full attention to make it as useful as possible!

Personal updates

June means: Summer is here!! ☀️😎🌸

Again I had lots of concerts & festivals this month, andddd I went on a holiday to the dolomites in Italy with my boyfriend! 🥰

I did so many fun things this month:

I went to the concerts of Harry Styles & Olivia Dean with my sister! 😱

I had the best festival time ever with a local musician!

I dressed up for the Harry concert of course (lots of pearls and stars!)

Saw the most beautiful poppy's 🥰

We drove to Italy for a holiday of 9 days (our first holiday together)

We hiked a lot and saw the most stunning views

I bought the cutest little wallet (a little bear one 😍)
