Starting in March, I will be adding a new reward to the 4.99+ tiers. Vlogs!

I know that times are tough and even in your own personal struggles you still generously support me. I appreciate every single one of you who support me on Patreon. More than words can express. I also know that my being displaced has caused me to lag behind in fulfilling requested audio ideas promised to the 4.99 people.

So I wanted to show my love and my appreciation by making sure you are getting a lickle something extra. Fireside chats are only the beginning! When they release us from quarantine I have plans to run wild on the Irish countryside and find all manner of beauty to share with ye.

Tonight's YouTube premiere is a sneak peek at my first steps in vlogging. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Can’t wait to see this! We didn’t light our wood burning stove at all this winter. It was mild despite the tons of snow. This already gives me nostalgic feels for nights by the fire! In all seriousness, though, you are so kind and generous even in the midst of your own struggles. That’s your Irishness shining through! We appreciate it and you more than you will ever know. Thank you!

Okay...so I’m the only pervert that was eyeballing the length of his fingers??? Okay fine 🤣🤣🤣 I’m a hand person! What can I say....🤷🏻‍♀️ I didn’t watch this entirely, but will later! I’m jamming with my fam. Little piano, guitar, uke 🤘🏻. Can’t wait for more Vlogs!!! 💗💗💗

Anonymous

Thank you G, this was so fun. As a person who detests moving (we moved like 12 times by the time I was 15, so yeah), its difficult enough to find the right place during normal times, so I'm praying for you that you find your forever home quickly, or at least quick enough with the quarantine. But then with all the good you do, it comes back to you, so I have no doubt with the support/prayers/love of at least 4K lovelies, good things will come soon. Stay as warm as you can, keep strumming that geetar, cause even without your doohicky, you are still playing well. Stay safe, stay sane, and we love you. And looking forward to more Vloggy fun to come

This man is so funny and wholesome, please protect him at all costs

Please take me with to the wild Irish countryside! I need to physically get out of here and go somewhere entirely new on a spontaneous adventure!

So, Gaelforce Manor:
- Has a ceiling made of wood
- Is primarily heated via a wooden stove
- Does not have a working smoke alarm
- Has a "fire escape" consisting of a window and a rope anchored to aforementioned wooden ceiling

Please tell me that the place at least came with a fire extinguisher 🤭 Not that that would make up for the various safety hazards that your new landlord does not seem to have addressed. Unless there’s some kind of loophole regarding cottages, the Residential Tenancies Board would not be very happy with whoever’s renting you that place 🙅🏻‍♀️

Anonymous

I'm so sorry you are being displaced again. You're a big strong man tho and besides the annoyance of living out of boxes I have total faith you got this. And something even better is coming for you. When you first shared that you went into a stone cottage on the country side I did wonder if it was insulated. But you were brave and you tried it, it didn't work out and that's ok. The right situation will come. Are there really tanks lining the roads? You really can't leave your close proximity? Wow. This whole situation is just surreal. We are in a historical time for sure. And we will survive and hopefully we will all be the better for it. Maybe you need a hug? It's ok.

Anton’s Becca

This gives me the vibe of just lounging on the couch and spending time with someone you care about. We all care about you and adore you. we are your VILLAGE we support and we love and we are always ready for an adventure with you! Thank you for inviting us into your home!!

Mayor Gaël, your vlog was "lovely" tonight!! It sounds like you're doing better and i wish you much luck in long for another place, if that's what you're going to do. It really makes me feel like we matter to you when you do all the things you do for us. You're the kindest man there is and i appreciate the Hell out of you!! Big hugs ❤️❤️❤️❤️xoxo

Anonymous

You truly spoil us! This was so lovely and I definitely missed your rambles. Thank you so much for everything you do for us and I hope you know deep down how much we appreciate you. I hope everything goes well here on out. I look forward to see what else you have in store for us❤️

Anonymous

Enjoyed that very much. Thank you for sharing some of your personal struggles, which you do not have to do. So glad you have friends looking out for you. Stress and worry about ate me alive last week, and just a little bit of outside time with friends 😷 made me feel human again. (Yay for warmer weather here!) I hope the right place finds you soon. Even if it takes a while, we’ll still be here 🌸💗 🏡

1. Not sure if being “loved and left” has ever been such a pleasant experience! Please do keep on with these, and be sure to crack yourself up as often as you’d like (the magician stuff with the fire at the end there) B. As miserable as it’s been, I’m still glad the cottage hasn’t worked out for you. A better fit is closer than you realize. My impression was that your were relieved to have a place to live more than anything else; there wasn’t an excited energy when you talked of the place. And for cryin’ in the soup; a fecking rope as your means to escape a fire?! The broken smoke alarm is just insult to injury 🍪 Bone-chilling February winter weather sucks. Isolated loneliness sucks. Having little control over the circumstances around where you live and work REALLY sucks. A pandemic sucks balls (not in a good way). You’ve got your coping strategies-like creating some spectacular content, being a support to so many people, and plans in the future to look forward to. It’s also okay to allow yourself to acknowledge that it sucks and just leave it at that. Maybe have a cookie too ❤️ Keep on with reaching out to others and letting them know how you’re doing; means just as much to them/us as it does to you. We’re all coming up on the one year mark of the world going off-kilter; that in and of itself has been beyond imagination. Know what’s kind of amazing to think about? Having people who love you and are literally around the entire world means you can give a shout anytime day or night and someone will holler back. You’ve helped make it so “you’re never alone” is a state of being. That’s incredible! Thanks, appreciation, hugs and Slán! p.s. cutting up a plastic credit-type card can yield a makeshift guitar pick if yer in desperate enough need. Musical MacGyver, like

Anonymous

So sorry the place didn’t work out. Hope you find a home that you’re looking for very soon. Glad you have friends who can help you out. Lovely fireside ramble with your beautiful guitar playing, thanks for sharing with us 💖 We all love and appreciate you for all that you do. Stay safe and warm 🤗

Anonymous

It’s great hearing you have a sense of humor about such a fucked situation! Truly. (the ropes, the cold, the smelly unfriendly people!) Oh man, I’m glad you have a roof over your head and a safe place to stay but in the long run it’s just uninhabitable. Anyway, thanks for the chat and laughs! I’ve been in a similar situation, and found that getting a routine going again can help with the mental stability. I hope creating again has helped. You WILL get through this. Please continue to lean on the people around you, and the security offered by your friends here on patreon. Big love and hugs to you 🤗❤️

Anonymous

Sending warm hugs your way, love.

Sending huge hugs and all the four leaf clover luck in all of Ireland G, very sad to hear the cottage isn’t what you expected 🥺...you do so much for us you deserve a warm, happy, safe place to rest your head at night ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Betsy ♍

This fireside chat is bittersweet. You were funny and charming as usual but there was an undertone of sadness. I can't imagine creating in your circumstances and would love to tell you take a break, get some rest, find a warm and secure home for you (and Willy too), come back when you've got it sorted, I'll survive on the 900+ audio surplus until you return...glad you've got temp lodging until then. I'm sending another warm hug. I hope you can take it bc here it comes.

When you said “I just miss my people” ... I felt that! I live alone and our lockdown has meant I’ve been alone for the better part of a year. Starting to feel very disassociated! PS - not sure if anyone else experienced some sound issues in the vlog, for example around 15/16 mins? But sporadic, I could still make out most of it 🔥🍀💚

I did 😊😊♥♥🤗🤗🤗 Thank you for sharing, I truly hope you'll find your true home very soon, where you can feel safe&warm ♥ You know all the survival tips already👌Coming from someone with samekind of experience during my teen years, never forget your wool socks, 24/7 wool socks on. 😅😅♥

"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” This is a quote by Maya Angelou and it makes me think of you Gael and all the lovelies in this community. All the love, hope and strong support for each other in both good times and bad times. It's an amazing thing to be a part of. This vlog post made me step out of the lurker closet, because I just have to tell you that you make a difference in this world with your voice, your creativity and your quirkylicious personality. You have a gift. You are a gift. Your voice and your audios, whether it was listening to rambles, the audios on Spice or the ones on Sugar, has helped me get through some really tough times dealing with Covid-19. I was infected in october 2020 and it affected my breathing really bad. It's been about 5 months now and I'm still sick and fighting this thing. You've helped calm me down at times when I was scared as hell. You've kept me company during the day for months now and I just want to say thank you. I'm loving this new vlog idea of yours and I'm looking forward to more fireside chats and adventures with you! If I could I would make you a plectrum with the word Quirkylicious printed on it and send it to you. Maybe a future design for your Spreadshirt shop, items with the word Quirkylicious? Lots of love and warm cozy hugs to ya! Ps. If you need some extra laughs and some punny inspiration, check out The Pun Guys https://youtu.be/3q6CuPSMAoY https://youtu.be/RVfGsIcdUvs https://youtu.be/N3RdelYuJPg

Finally had chance to watch this tonight. This is really great content Gael 🤗 The fireplace is so comforting to watch, your guitar strumming is a joy to hear and the 🐄 💩 story had me laughing. I can relate to that experience for sure - in the area where I live there's probably more tractors than people and muddy wellies are pretty much an essential for any and every outfit at this time of year!🤣 As for the cold and bracing showers I guess some might say it builds character and resilience but I'm not sure that 'mind over matter' extends so far as to encompass all extremities!😝 Sending warm wishes and good vibes your way. Hoping you find a place to truly call home soon. Even amidst personal challenges you're still spoiling us all so I can't even imagine what delights await us when you've found a safe haven to express your creativity to its fullest extent!

Ashlee Kranz

The first thing I say in the beginning of this video is “Aw that’s absolutely beautiful KITTYYYYYY!!” I remember back in 2016 when I was living on my own in a studio apartment room in this huge Victorian mansion. I had lived there for 2 years while finishing up college, and trying to find work, post graduation. When I couldn’t find anything that would help make ends meet, suddenly my landlord gave me 4 days to get out! Now if that isn’t a definition of stress, then I don’t know what is! I called my dad, a moving truck, called other relatives to help, packed up everything, gave away a bunch of furniture and moved back home. In the least, my landlord did work with me and was flexible, we just reached a point where there wasn’t much more that could be done while I kept waiting and checking back with job prospects. I felt horrible and like a failure. My brother didn’t help matters by hinting that I was preventing my dad from enjoying his retirement by living at home, while trying to convince me to move in with his family... uuuuhhh HOW BOUT NO!! G if I could, I would get on a plane, come out there with insulation padding, and a couple box heaters! There’s no excuse for it being that cold inside there! How much is your rent?

Anonymous

Oh Gael! It's such a shame about the cottage, hopefully you can find some place else which is better insulated and is closer to those who you love. In the meantime, we all send you snuggles to help keep you warm! 🔥 Stay safe and well ❤️

I love that you are going to vlog again. I’ve missed the hell out of it. It’s the most innocent form of voyeurism (😈)….experiencing Ireland vicariously through you. You used to make my day when I received a notice you had shared a small vid on Twitter that involved the animals and wildlife on your walking adventures….you talking to horses, cows, etc. It’s my two favorite things: you and animals. 🐾💖 Plus seeing all the little country lanes and hillsides was a bonus. Most of us will only ever see the most popular “touristy” spots when visiting Ireland, but you gave us a glimpse of the local culture, a kind of behind-the-scenes of Ireland so to speak. I loved that. As for all the moving and house hunting you’ve had to do the past 3 months, poor guy. 😳 Where’s the luck of the Irish when you really need it? But Life is trying to get you where you need to be and that stone cottage wasn’t it. I can’t fathom you not being able to at least take hot showers to help with the cold you’re experiencing. I hate the thought of you being miserable there. But just think, if you had a lock box or PO Box you allowed us Lovelies to send you gifts to, you’d now be receiving a 1000 different blankets, knitted scarves, hats and gloves, warm sweaters, sweat pants and a plethora of tea and coffee varieties from around the world. 😂 I can’t believe that “fire escape” system you shared with us. 😳 WTF?!! That was definitely one of those “You have to see it to believe it” scenarios. And with your upchuck reflex you’ve shared in the past, I can’t believe you didn’t lose it with the guy in his Wellies. I mean, you can’t stand the smell of newspapers. 😉😂🤢 Just know that you will find your place at the exact time it’s meant to happen. Life will work out for someone who’s karma is as delightful as yours. You give such positivity into this world that the universe will take care of ye like. 😉🤞 Have you thought about going through a leasing Realtor instead of doing it on your own? They are more expensive than looking for a “mom and pop” type of personal rental/lease. But the plus side would be letting a professional do the hunting for you after giving them a list of the specifics you require to keep your sanity in check. Not sure if it would help you or not but just a suggestion. They probably would have virtual tours you could check out as well so you could see all these little “quirks” before moving to a new place. Anyway, lots of love, hugs and kisses to ye handsome. We’ll see you through it all. A more loyal family you could not have asked for. So when it’s really cold and lonely there, close your eyes. Sink down into a blanket in front of the fire and just imagine the bear hugs you’d get if we were there. You are so loved my friend and it’s well deserved. 🔥💋♥🎸☕🌬🥶

It's always such a treat when you share a little bit or a "Lickle" bit of Ireland with us! I know for me your videos and pictures are the only chance I'll ever get to walking around like a native. So your vlog reward is going to be an incredible addition! Thank you as always for thinking of us. You could very easily just take off for a coupla months and none of us would think any less of you. But here you are plugging your little Irish heart away to make craic and sexy Gaelic gems for us to enjoy. We absolutely love you for it and I know I speak for more than me when I say I'm excited to see what's in store But also, please take care of yourself. We don't want any stories of occasion when you had to use that rescue rope or a first hand account of Irish hypothermia! Stay warm, stay well and we're with you til the end of the road, Cap!

I was actually thinking about these points myself earlier. His poor sensitive nose, and that was just gross. Food seriously. I lived in a house without insulation in most of the rooms for a few years when I was younger. We would sometimes get nose bleeds from the cold. I wouldn't wish that on anyone! Especially not someone with such a kind heart. I was like even if we each just sent him a quilt square, he would still probably be able to provide bedding for a small village. I know you'll find a place that will fit your needs. In the meantime wishing you all the warm blankets and snuggles. Would also send a photo of a warm sleeping cat, but just learning to comment. (Love this community. 💜)

I’m sorry to here this! My family also got displaced, and it is rough at first. Things happen for a reason, but something good may come out of it! I’m sending all the good vibes your way and hope you can do something about that heating problem soon. Don’t freeze on us!

Anonymous

First, I love these! I'm not sure if I enjoyed the stroll through the art garden more or listening to the play guitar. We'll go with a tie. And the hillside was beyond breathtaking! However I had a bizzare question. If we join the $4.99 tier will these become downloadable? I have very limited data currently/no home wifi. So anything I typically want to listen to I download on my break for later. Or if it is SFW and short...

👻 Spooky 👻

As a firefighter 👩‍🚒 yeah.... keep safe x

Fireside chats are amazing! As I was listening I thought moonlight chats during the warm months would be lovely.. it would be beautiful to see the night sky and listen to a good Ramble. 🍻💚💋 Here's to everyone finding their neck of the woods... their forever homes! I am on the same journey and greatly sympathize. I remember an awful rental disaster ages ago, we lived just outside of utility range for gas so we has no heat, pellet stove was busted and the electric heaters scared the 💩 outta me. Was a humbling experience to say the least.. the 🛁🚽 was a frigid wake up call every day 🥶
