Hi everyone!

Development on the big Tame It Too! update is in full swing, and we're finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! But for now, let's take a look at what we've accomplished over the past week!

More Detail in the Northern Valley

We keep adding more details to the Northern Valley, and the last few points of interest are gradually falling into place. At the same time, we go back to areas we've already finished to make them even more interesting. For example, our giant crab got some extra details that give it a story of its own. We want exploration to feel like more than just traveling from one point to another. It should be a real adventure, where even individual objects have something interesting to tell!

New Minigame

Work on the new breeding minigame is progressing, and we've made some significant strides recently. The main gameplay objects are ready, and we're beginning to test the mechanics and levels. The minigame is gradually taking shape just as we originally envisioned, and it's getting more exciting with every step. There's still plenty of work to do before we can show you the finished result, though!

Compass

Another feature you've been asking for for quite some time is almost ready — the compass! It'll make navigating the world much easier, so you won't have to keep opening the map just to figure out where to go next.

The core functionality is already implemented and has performed great in testing. We're now polishing the visuals to make sure the compass is not only useful but also fits naturally into the game's interface.

One thing to note: crafting the compass isn't an option yet, but you can find one in the new area!

Quests & Text

Work on integrating quests into the game continues. A substantial amount of content has already been added, and the hope is to have all the main quests in place soon. This is an important milestone that will bring the new locations, characters, and activities together into one cohesive adventure.

Plenty of new lines have also been added for Lee's reactions to the points of interest he'll encounter in the Northern Valley. And, as always, there's no shortage of our signature humor! After all, there's always room for a few funny comments, especially from Fairy!

Optimization

Huge progress has been made with optimization recently! Tame It Too! is now noticeably faster and more stable, with the performance boost being especially noticeable on Android devices.

Efforts are now focused on improving performance and eliminating bottlenecks that could cause FPS drops or affect the overall gameplay experience. These changes are making loading and gameplay smoother, and the game is running more reliably even on less powerful devices. There's still work to be done, but the results so far are really encouraging, and the push in this direction will continue!

New Sounds

We're continuing to improve the world's sound design, and this time we've added new sounds to the lava and geyser biomes. We want the different parts of the Valley to stand out not only visually but also through their soundscapes, helping each area feel more distinctive and atmospheric.

A huge thank-you to all of you for your support, dear friends! Stay tuned so you don't miss a thing. The big update is getting closer, and there's still plenty of exciting stuff ahead!

Have a wonderful week and stay awesome!

Translated by an AI: Suggestion: It would be great if you could include a roadmap with your weekly progress updates, detailing which tasks or items are currently completable or craftable in the latest version. For instance, I’m currently stuck at the point where I’m supposed to craft a copper sword and a shield, but I can’t find any way to instruct Meadow to make them. The task itself doesn’t indicate that it’s reserved for a future update, so it should be achievable. Similarly, there doesn’t seem to be a way to tell Meadow to craft tools, which makes it impossible to mine ore—and, consequently, impossible to craft the upgraded storage crates. A weekly table-style overview—showing what is currently functional versus what is still under development—would be very helpful. On another note, it would be good to get an idea of when *TameItToo* is expected to reach its full release. There’s no information on this yet, and since the jump from version 0.9 to 0.10, I’ve been wondering how much longer this development phase will continue. Additionally, you might want to reconsider the ceiling heights for buildings. While the camera handling across different floors works well, the low ceilings create a claustrophobic feeling that detracts from the immersion—this becomes especially apparent when trying to construct larger buildings. A good example is Meadow’s forge; you made the rooms there significantly taller, which avoids that feeling—common in player-built structures—of bumping your head against the ceiling or having the roof press down on you. I also really like the changes to the sex scenes with Octa—she uses her tentacles much more actively now. It’s also quite funny that what comes out of her breasts is ink rather than milk—very creative! 😁 One thing Octa’s pond area definitely needs, though, is a small cave or hideout. After all, she comes across as relatively timid and in need of protection; and since she already had a den in a cave back in *TameIt*, it only makes sense for her to have one here, too. Besides, that would give her a chance to have her way with Lee while no one’s watching.

Thank you for such detailed and constructive feedback, as always! Many players have been asking for a roadmap. We've approached this task several times, but for various reasons, we still haven't put one together. However, we do have plans to create one! Meadow won't craft a shield and sword for you herself, but she'll unlock the recipes once you bring her your first ore. You can find that initial ore by following the marker for the corresponding quest. A certain amount of it is simply lying on the ground near the Copper Mine. Once you bring it to Meadow, she'll unlock the recipes for all Copper-tier tools. I think we should add a hint to the ore-gathering quest to make this clearer. We go into great detail about everything that makes it into a release, starting with our weekly reports, followed by release announcements and finally the changelogs. Unfortunately, not many people actually read them. So, for now, we don't have plans to provide even more detailed explanations. Everything we've stated has been added to the game. All quests that aren't marked as continuing in future updates are already completable. If a quest isn't marked as ongoing but can't be completed, it's due to a bug. Thanks so much for your bug reports! They help us identify and fix issues very quickly. We spent quite a lot of time figuring out the right size for building blocks. They're currently 3 × 3 meters. The grid needs to be square for several reasons, so the height follows the same dimensions as the floor and wall grid. Changing the grid at this stage of development would mean rebuilding the entire construction system from scratch. The wooden building tier already allows you to build a second floor. I haven't checked whether it's possible to create an open-to-below space or rooms with double-height ceilings (6 meters high). That's an interesting experiment, and even if it doesn't work as intended, we could refine the mechanics to make it possible. We have some significant changes planned for Octa in future updates, and we'd love to add her to the breeding system. But we can't do everything at once! We have a huge wishlist and only so many hands and hours in the day. :) As for the full release, the main story is currently reaching its climax. We expect around four more chapters in the main storyline, along with several additional content updates. However, we'll only announce dates once we're confident we can meet them. Stay tuned for news — version 0.13.0 is almost ready!

Translated by an AI: Thanks for your quick response! If Maedow is supposed to unlock the recipes for building, then there must be a bug—I found the copper ore near the cave and gave it to her. She gave me a copper hammer in return, and I can now build wooden elements, but the only items unlocked for crafting at the smithy’s workbench are ropes and lockpicks—no copper tools or weapons. I’ve smelted more copper ore into copper ingots, but I can’t use them for anything other than building wooden crates. That’s a problem, though, because if you can no longer craft a pickaxe, you can’t get any more ore. An alternative approach—as long as the cave remains closed—could be to have a few chunks of ore appear in the surrounding area each day, regenerating only after they’ve been collected; as if they were being loosened from the bedrock by erosion. Building taller rooms (6m x 3m) isn’t currently possible, even with wood. While you can stack two walls on top of each other and lay a floor for a second story, you can’t build a staircase on that second level. If you try, both the stairs and the floor collapse. Regarding the wooden walls, you might also want to revisit the aggressiveness of the spiders. They are extremely persistent when it comes to attacking the player. If one attacks, it immediately alerts all the other spiders in the vicinity, leaving you facing a massive swarm of the creatures with almost no way to defend yourself—especially when armed only with a weak stone spear. It’s quite handy to lure the spiders into the swamp and let the crocodiles do the dirty work—a really nice touch on your part—but unfortunately, those annoying critters don’t drop any eggs when they’re taken out that way. By nature, spiders are solitary creatures and hunt alone.

Translated by an AI: Regarding the production of metal goods—and indeed everything else—it would be great if we could specify on the task board which items should be crafted and in what quantities. Ideally, for items subject to wear and tear, we should be able to set a target inventory level for the craftswomen to maintain. Otherwise, these craftswomen become effectively obsolete, as the player can simply make everything themselves, leaving the girls to do nothing more than basic gathering. While Lee could technically craft everything on his own, a specialized craftswoman—like Maedow, for instance—would be more efficient: she could produce items with greater durability, create more effective tools, or use fewer resources during the crafting process. Once again—and I apologize if this becomes repetitive—I’d like to point to the game *Soulmask*, where the developers implemented exactly these kinds of automation mechanics, and did so very effectively. Similarly, the girls assigned to household chores could manage the fire pits, or open the shutters in the morning and close them in the evening—just to give a few examples. .

Translated by an AI: Error-Update: I’ve just tried this again; it seems that copper ore does indeed start regenerating even before you have a mine. Upon speaking to Meadow for the third time, a new dialogue sequence suddenly appeared, and the copper recipes were unlocked. She also mentioned that Lily knows how to make glue. There must be a bug here, though, because I had already received the glue recipe when Meadow gave me the copper hammer after I rescued her from the cats' farm.

Thank you for clarifing, I'll look why that conversation didn't start for the first time when you talked to Meadow with copper ore in the inventory. I should note that Meadow don't give copper hammer, only copper pickaxe. Copper hammer can be found in secret stash in chapter 4 that leads to premature start of Glue quest, this was a secret gift for patrons in 0.11.0 that planned to be removed from the final game :) -- Asmodeev

I found the bug, we added "Freedom" quest in 0.12.1 that added conversation with Meadow that asks for copper bar and this conversation can appear before the one where Lee gives her copper ore. Thank you, I'm in the middle of fixing it for the next release 💗 -- Asmodeev
