Roadmapping 2026: beWilder’s Wider Path Ahead [Long Post Warning] (Patreon)
Content
Welcome-welcome wonderful wild people! We’re back again with a second helping of yearlong planning, laying out our hopes, plans and intentions for 2026, and I do mean “our”. After our first big scoop coated with all the tasty details for NTR’s plans right here, now it’s time we talk about some of our beyond the game goals for beWilder, it’s near future, and what we want it to be by the time we turn a full 10 years in only a dozen months. Y’all ready for this? Then let’s get to it!
2025 – Getting Here
2025 was a tale of 2 half-years, including some of our best times this side of the past pandemic and some of our most difficult too. The first half saw us still troubled by long lingering issues that had been holding us back, and at last we got to the point of shaking things up. The thing to focus on was that for the second half we managed to make some important changes; changes that worked well on many fronts, beyond what we could have hoped for. While we’re bringing that energy and momentum back into this year, there’s some limitations in the long run to soloing everything that we’d like to start dealing with now. There’s a better beWilder we can be, that we once were long ago, that we’d like to see shine again only this time with the backing of better experience, tech and our fandom. After a big 2025, that’s where we are now.
Top Line Road Map
Our plans for 2026 can be laid out in 2 big headings, each with their own sub-goals and benefits: Unshi’s Return, and Steam, and the smaller heading of Patreon Site Changes. We’ll discuss each in detail below, but here’s the top-line in both.
Back in the middle of last year, that shake-up we spoke of saw our lead artist and co-founder Unshi sidelined from beWilder production, mostly for personal reasons. Some years back, he was hit with a few related and upending hardships which, even though they eventually resolved, fuelled a burnout streak that we were too slow to address and resolve. With some time off lately he’s been able to start tackling that, to a point he’s ready to start taking on some beWilder responsibilities again, though we’re going to be cautious about exactly which ones and how.
The second big headline here is we’re looking to branch out at last to beyond Patreon, to platforms like Steam, perhaps some others down the line too, to bring our beWilderverse to more fans and give more options to the beWildernauts to support us in their preferred ways. We made enough solid progress last year and believe we’ll have even more of the same joys in 2026 that we’re finally able to start on a move like this. It’s not without its issues and pitfall however, so read below and we’ll talk all about it.
Lastly, and least of all, our Patreon page could use a spring clean. Some updated art and an important but small change to billing. More of a footnote to all things, but still worth a shout, so see below for that too!
Unshi’s Return
Unshi’s coming back and that’s great news. Despite what was admitted a somewhat contentious split, we managed to keep our long-term friendship intact and give him the space to find his feet again. It makes us both happy for him to be able to say “I’m still standing”. But this isn’t a personal decision, it’s a business one most of all. Together we’re better as a team, when we’re both in fighting shape. We can do more, faster, and better. The fact that we still have a number of our fans stick with us from the early days, even as far back as 2017, is a great endorsement that when we’re good, we’re really good. That’s what we want to get back to… in time.
We’re not so blinded by emotion to dive right back in and think 8 months or so of rest and healing will make up for 3 years of past problems, and neither of us want to go back to the days of delays after seeing firsthand how Spook2099 was able to make NTR workout alone. Far from it, as evident from the big fat roadmap of stuff he wants to achieve this year for NTR. That’s all the biggest priority of the year. Spook needs to keep the train rolling, Unshi needs space to build his self-management skills back up to par again, and we both need to keep on creating. So here’s how this is going to work.
Unshi’s coming back, but instead of returning to work on NTR for now, he’s going to be working on his own beWilder Project, a short-style visual novel game in Ren’py, completely under his own management. Meanwhile, Spook will take what he’s done with NTR in the last year and carry it on regularly as our main project, in exactly the same style as we’ve seen in 2025. Our long-term goal is to get Unshi back up to speed again so that in the medium-long term future he can return to help see Noemi to a big finish, but first there are things that need doing that we don’t want NTR getting jammed up over while we do. We’ve worn out too much fans’ good will in the past hoping things would get better. We’re all about doing things better now, both of us.
This new project will be a short one by design, with limited pathing to keep it manageable (and because we learned our lesson of NTR’s many arc). It is by design a game that can be made in 1.5-2 years from v0.1 to v1.0, showcasing Unshi’s art skills, and importantly give him both a creative outlet to express his own ideas/passions again while also leaving all the responsibility of self-management to him as well. It’s his chance to earn back some of the fans’ favour by delivering content and showing he’s getting back in the saddle enough to be trusted with a co-artist position on NTR again in the future beyond this roadmap’s term. All the work will be done by Unshi on an “it’s ready when it's ready” schedule, though as often as is possible, with status updates included in the weekly reports on Fridays/Saturdays when there’s news to share, as Spook sticks with the regular NTR updated every 7-8 weeks or so. The only work Spook will be doing for this short project is executive production and promotion, which is a fancy way of saying he’ll help with shaping characters, keeping beWilderverse ties in mind and shared world lore details straight, and writing update posts when needed. Nothing else. Unshi will even be writing the content, so as not to distract from NTR time.
This is our plan for 2026, to firewall off NTR while also working together to knit back the team of beWilder for a brighter, tighter future. NTR will eventually benefit from having us both at our best, as will the many future games and stories we want to make beyond Noemi’s one day, but only when we’re demonstrably ready to handle that again. In the meantime, there’s work to be done to get us to that point and we want the beWildernauts to benefit and be a part of the process by enjoying an all-new extension to our sexy, wild world! This new beWilder experience is in pre-production right now, but expect a seat on the hype-train in the months ahead as Unshi aims to begin sharing details on his passion revitalization project with you come the end of Spring. For now, here’s a tiny taster to get that appetite whetted!

Steam
The other big news in the beWilderverse for 2026 is we feel we are finally at a point we’re ready to step foot beyond Patreon and the subscription model, giving fans the option to finally be able to buy a copy of NTR of their own for keeps. That’s also some really good news.
This has long been on our list of beWilder goals, but to our detriment, slowness to adapting has always been our Achilles heel. As a matter of fact, Christmas day 2022, Spook sat down and wrote up an internal roadmap towards getting NTR ready for Steam and it’s mostly thanks to the pace of 2025 that we’ve now arrived at a point we feel we’re ready to start.
In that plan we took a hard look at NTR and what we wanted it to look like to a new player experiencing it for the first time. These are the things we wanted for sure: 1) Players should be able to have a taste of 90+% of the game paths, knowing what kinds of content/fetishes the game includes, since some arcs’ content and tone change a lot based on your choice of paths. 2) There shouldn’t be any holes in the unlockable gameplays, no “coming soon” emptiness in the early parts of the game. 3) At least 10 fully actioned sexy scenes to show the game’s heat off. We’re thrilled to say we’ve got that far now, and that’s why Steam is finally on our public plans.
The downside is that the rules of the road have been changing lately, those keeping their ear to the ground lately will know. Adult content is being strangled in many corners, not that that’s new, but to the degree it has been lately is an escalation. Despite that though, adult games are still getting published, and we’d like to be part of that community, putting NTR out there with the rest for adults to enjoy as is their right. The hoops to go through to get a release on Steam are many, and with Early Access being potentially withheld for matured content these days, it’s not likely we’ll have NTR or Unshi’s New Project above on Release on Steam this year, but a Store Page(s) is within our means and a very good start.
Being published on Steam is not without its costs however, which is something to be upfront about now. As helpful an experience as participating in a NextFest someday would be, it requires the efforts of prepping a demo, though that’s hardly something we’ll have to worry about this year. Somethings we will have to consider however is the content we keep. As mature-only games go, NTR isn’t all that far out on the ‘deviant’ side of things, despite its wildness. We don’t have any of the quick-to-ban types of fetishes, but there are some places we will need to tighten up to make sure we pass the test. Specifically of interest is the relationship depictions between Sal and his girls, Alice and Beth. At times his conduct can be a little too #MeToo to be accepted by a particularly prudish reviewer. The early scene with him ordering Alice’s kissing Beth’s eye better, and his rough treatment of her after Noe steals the magazine spread for herself are 2 scenes that will need review and perhaps editing someday soon. Some other events might also be up for a relook, though none spring to mind just yet. Too much changing for the reviewer however goes against 1 of the reasons we want to do this, so there is a limit to how much we’ll change.
Our first steps from turning this from an idea we would like into an actionable goal is thus: We’re going to bring both NTR and Unshi’s new project to Steam together, after we’ve officially announced the new game and moved towards starting releases. Ideally, we would like NTR to be on Early Access given it’s largely made already but still a long way yet from a full v1.0, but that may be outside of our control. The new project, being shorter by design, should be able to do either the EA path or hold for a once off full release when done. In either case, using the new project as the canary in the coalmine so to speak, rather than letting NTR take the risk of going first, is the most sensible approach. For that reason, we’ll start moving on this after we announce the new game here, so Steam news will be something that takes up the latter half of the year more than the early months. Sound good?
Since we’re talking about Steam, it’s worth also mentioning that there are other storefronts we could also pursue, and we’re open to considering them. Places such as Ichi.io and GOG.com. In truth, we have no actual personal experience with these platforms, and the prestige allure of Steam is partly what has us eying it from the beginning. That being said, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, and it’s worth considering all options. What do you all have to say about it? Would you prefer any of these places over Steam, or in addition to? Let us know as we move forward with this, there might but be enough wildness to go around someday!
Patreon Site Changes
And lastly, another thing to touch on before we wrap this long, chatty post. It should come as no surprise that with AoH slowly moving into the past behind us (for now, but perhaps not forever), and a new venture on the horizon, plus NTR taking the frontlines of beWilder all alone these days, that our Patreon page could use a modernizing to reflect where we’re at. A nice warm up job for Unshi to get the feet wet again, as it were. It’s something to expect in the coming months, once again in the same window as our big new announcement. Sometimes looking good is important, and we can have some fun with it too, can’t we?
One other point to discuss about the Patreon changes that makes it worth including in this post as part of our plans: We’re changing the currency of the page from USD to Euro ($ to €). It’s something that’s long been a discrepancy with our page, in that we’re both from the EU but have always been paid in dollars. For a long time, we simply ate the difference, small as it was. In the last year though, economic forces (to put it mildly) have caused the dollar to weaken significantly and that volitivity we can’t keep eating. It’s costing us x2-x3 times worth of Patreon fees just to convert to money can use, which is to say we’re losing close to 15% of pledges to the economic gamesmanship of certain countries trade policies. That’s not sustainable for us, nor is it good for NTR etc to be underfunded like that. With the strong possibility that it’s only going to get worse before it gets better, starting 1st February 2026 (or as soon as we can get Patreon to change it after that date) we’ll be pricing all our tiers in Euro, at the same price as they are now – Daring, €9.99, Brave €4.99 and Bold, €1. This will mean some minor changing in the user side cost depending on your local currency, which may make your subscription a little more dear or a little less, do be careful of that!
Too Long, Didn’t Read
It’s been a big, verbose post as promised, with a lot to say in our long-wind fashion. For those that don’t care for so many words, this section for you! Time for the TL;DR version of it all:
Unshi’s Return – Unshi is coming back to work for beWilder’s benefit, not on NTR just yet but instead on a new, soon to be announced, passion project. Our goal is to give him room to get back into the swing of production and importantly build back up the self-management skills enough to return to NTR in future. Meanwhile, Spook will be keeping NTR going the same way as the last many months, with regular updates. Expect further announcements in late Spring.
Steam – We’re aiming to take NTR and our new game to Steam and perhaps beyond in the latter half of the year. There’re a few considerations to make as we go and a lot of hurdles being put up against adult content in recent times, but it’ll be benefit in the long run to both the team and the fans to have our girls going wild beyond just the bounds of this page, though we’ll still be here of course.
Patreon Currency Changes – We’re making the official switch after a long time to charging subscriptions directly in Euro rather than in US Dollars. This is largely due to the continued volatility and decline in the Dollar, and let’s face it, being that we’re both for the EU we really should have made this change long ago.

Phew! Another long post ready to call done then. A lot of very important goals, actions and reasons for it all, as we aim to make 2026 an even better year for beWilder and the beWildernauts than ever before. Combined with all we have in store for NTR, our main focus and flagship, it’s going to be an eventful year yet, we dare say!
By now we’re moving far along into the first content release of the year, so it’s time we get back to that and let y’all start believing in all you’ve been seeing us say about this brand-new year. Until we’ve had the first release party of many…
Be there for our wildest year yet, and beWilder!
