Yeah, okay, tried to sit down and write The New Ron and only got part of a chapter.  This flowed like silk, though, so it comes out first.

Back to working on The New Ron chapter, I promise this time.

Chapter 11: I clenched my fists so hard each knuckle popped in sequence as I stared at Obito, my eyes tracking him off to my right side and my face blank. The obvious answer to his thrown gauntlet was to refuse.

Well I for one am glad it was this fic that got a new chapter. It's my new fix. Interesting approach to use Yakumo's big-genjutsu-brain to get her to learn some of the bare bones of Prana-Bindu. And for the chapter itself, great worldbuilding for the medical info and well timed and placed backstory sharing for the conversation with Obito. Rock solid background detailing. Sidenote, from this chapter we now have confirmation that the fourth rank in Prana-Bindu gave Kota what seems to be a single rank in bio-chemical control, as referenced in regards to his nightmares. He might also have a rank in Perception/Truth sensing based of his reading of Kushina's micro-expressions. Perhaps we'll also soon learn if it gave him single ranks in sub-disciplines such as the Simulflow, Weirding Way, or the Voice.

I'll be honest I still think will eventually be forced to put on the headband just not soon-soon. My prediction it will be 2-3 years down the line when a Sand/Sound invasion triggers open war (which it should have in canon), and he gets recruited. Probably parlayed into working for the Leaf's research and development department as a field-promoted chuunin or tokubetsu jounin. At first I was convinced he would end up in a three man team with Satsuki and Naruko, but with genjutsu girl getting delayed a full year she will be in that graduating class, so it strikes me as likely what that team will end up being.

A) Stop reading my notes, because you shouldn't know about the Sand/Waterfall invasion that's happening in a few years. B) No, Kota is not slated to ever take active field duty as a ninja. Shit goes down in two years with the invasion, but Kota and Godaime Jiraiya come to a compromise.

If I'm reading your notes, I have another prediction. One of the skills he will gank will end up being Tsunade's superstrength technique as its explicitly super low chakra cost and hyper-efficient (to the point that Sakura can use it without thinking) and he's already taken a rank of Medical Techniques and Chakra Control so it's a natural progression.

leaving Konoha at this point would be huge red flag and would get his case higher up to Hokage and MC would have tracking team or ANBU on his ass

Hmmm. The line between sensory input and muscle movement output is just the difference between afferent and efferent neuron classifications, there is no neurological difference. Genjutsu should probably be able to produce movement, at least in a limited manner and easier to override by the target. It's probably pretty easy to intentionally kill yourself with Prana-Bindu, so it's probably pretty easy to get someone else to kill themselves with it. Or just unconsciousness. Or do adrenal stuff for your allies, I guess? If Genjutsu can affect chakra senses, it can probably affect chakra use, by a similar argument. So Yakumo will basically be able to use medical jutsu via genjutsu as a medium? Also, I was under the impression that he basically had five charges every full moon, and had to spend them immediately, but that doesn't seem to match up with the list of learned subjects.
