Ever giggled. “But we already had breakfast…and dinner.” 

Arsen bit down hard on the shell of Ever’s ear until he yelped. “Second dinner then.” 

Once in the bathroom, Arsen carefully removed Ever’s hoodie, then stripped down himself. 

Ever met his gaze in the bathroom mirror, watching as Arsen padded naked to the shower and wrenched on the water. “What are you? A hobbit?” 

Arsen returned to dig a finger into Ever’s ribs, making him squeal with laughter. “You’re the one who looks like a hobbit.” 

Ever gasped, turning to slap Arsen’s bare chest hard enough to leave a tiny red handprint. “I don’t look like a hobbit,” he cried. “You take that back right now.” 

Arsen chuckled, then gathered him in his arms, placing a soothing kiss on his forehead. “Hobbit sized then.” 

Arsen tipped his chin up and joined their mouths together, grunting approvingly when Ever’s lips parted for him. They stayed like that, their tongues tangling lazily as they waited for their ancient water heater to do its job. 

“If we don’t stop, I’m gonna want to be inside you again,” Arsen said, stepping back reluctantly. 

Ever turned to stare at himself in the mirror, fingertips tracing the fingerprint shaped red marks on his hips and the slight redness at the corner of his mouth. 

“Maybe next time you can fuck me here so I can watch,” Ever said, cock trying to stir at the thought. “I love how you look when you’re fucking me.” 

“Jesus,” Arsen muttered. “Wherever you want,” Arsen promised, dropping a dozen kisses on the top of his head. “You know I’d do anything for you.” 

Ever leaned back against him and closed his eyes. “Tell me you love me.” 

“I love you,” he said without hesitation. 

Ever couldn’t hold back his smile as his heart felt like it would burst free of his chest. “How much?” 

Arsen’s hands began to roam Ever’s belly. “Um…more than there are stars in the sky.” 

His answer punched the air from Ever’s lungs, his eyes flying open to meet his in the reflection. Arsen was already watching him with those turquoise eyes. It was such an over-the-top answer that if he’d heard it in a movie he might have rolled his eyes, but looking at Arsen he knew he meant it. 

Ever blinked back tears. “I love you, too.” 

Arsen grinned. “I know.” 

Ever did roll his eyes then, grateful for the out so he didn’t start crying like an idiot. Finally, Arsen led him to the shower, letting him step under the spray first. He was just starting to soap Ever up when he said, “So…do you want pancakes?” 

“Of course, I want pancakes,” Ever said. “What kind of stupid question is that?”
