Vengeful Bonds S3 - Ch. 6 - Ollie (Patreon)

Just schmoop and smut. Unbeta'd/Unedited. Now, I'm going to bed. I'll schedule it to post this morning. Well, it is morning but more morning. Which you'll know because you're already reading this right now. Yeah, I need sleep.
Ollie dragged himself from the shower, the twenty-five steps from the bathroom to their bedroom feeling like the green mile. He’d been fantasizing about faceplanting into the mattress since they left Veritas that afternoon. Nobody had ever mentioned how exhausting growing just one tiny creature could be. He wanted to sleep for the rest of this pregnancy like some kind of hibernating bear.
Except he couldn’t.
Because he had another Dr.’s appointment tomorrow and another ultrasound…and more labwork. And Deke had another day of being a guinea pig for Veritas. He stared at the sink for a long moment. Would not brushing his teeth for one night be gross? Probably. He squeezed toothpaste onto his brush, scrubbing his teeth as he avoided his reflection in the mirror. He probably seemed crazy, standing there, wrapped in a towel, looking everywhere but at his own face.
He was so busy avoiding his own reflection that he startled when he looked up and saw Deke standing behind him in the doorway. Their gaze met in the mirror. The alpha wore a pair of black basketball shorts and nothing else. Ollie let his eyes linger, drinking him in.
Since Deke had presented three months ago, both their bodies had gone through changes. For Deke, the enigma gene was better than growth hormones. His twenty-two year old alpha had shot up three inches in height and was packing on muscle like he was training for some kind of iron-man competition. Ollie sighed, deflated. Deke was cut, shredded, every muscle growing more defined by the day. Meanwhile, Ollie only grew rounder.
It had to be the enigma gene. That was Win’s explanation anyway. Ollie wasn’t sure what else it could have been. Unless Veritas was shooting Deke up with some drug Ollie didn’t know about? But they weren’t. Were they? It wasn’t the first time the thought had crossed his mind, but each time he pushed it down. He didn’t know how they could possibly sneak that past him.
Ollie was with him every day. Watching. Consulting. Taking notes of his own. The researchers at Veritas had found him tiresome at first–always over their shoulders, asking endless questions–but now they seemed to value his insight as someone who had not only seen Deke change, but had experienced his abilities firsthand.
Deke struck a ridiculous muscle-man pose in the reflection, a stupid grin on his face, “See something you like?”
Ollie snorted out a laugh, spraying toothpaste on the mirror. Deke preened over getting a reaction out of him. Ollie rolled his eyes as he rinsed his mouth, then returned his toothbrush to its rightful place. The alpha entered the bathroom then, wrapping his arms around him from behind, forcing Ollie to look at himself so he could continue making eye contact with his mate in the reflection. He grimaced when the alpha splayed his hands across his bloated belly.
Deke frowned, looking uncertain. “Ouch. You don’t want me to touch you? Are you not feeling well? Is the baby okay?”
Ollie huffed, knowing he was being ridiculous. “She’s fine,” he reassured him. “I love when you touch me. I just don’t want to look at myself while you do it.”
The look of genuine confusion on his mate’s face had Ollie’s heart swelling in his chest like a balloon. “What do you mean? Why?”
Ollie gave him a blank stare. Deke continued to look baffled. Jesus. This boy really loved him.
He gave the alpha a grumpy look. He waved his hand in the vague direction of the mirror. “Look at me.”
Deke only frowned harder. “I am looking at you. You look hot.”
He pressed his face against Ollie’s scent gland, inhaling deeply with a groan, his hands sliding up to grope Ollie’s rapidly growing chest. He bit his lip to bite the needy sound rising in his throat. He was so sensitive there now.
Ollie snorted. “I thought alpha eyesight was better?” When his adorable dumbass of a mate continued to stare at him like he’d grown a second head he said, “My face is round, my stomach is rounder, my chest is…well, you have eyes. I just look…” he trailed off, making a face at himself in the mirror. “I look like I swallowed my former self. If I squint I can kind of still see him in there.”
Deke cupped his chin, forcing him to meet his gaze in the mirror. “Hey, don’t talk about my mate like that. I love this face. And this body.” Ollie’s chest constricted at his words. Deke’s gaze darkened as his gaze raked over him, sending a rush of heat straight to his core. “You’re mine. This is mine.” He dropped his hands back to Ollie’s tummy. “She’s mine, too.”
“You’re biased," Ollie muttered.
“No, I’m not. But even if I was, I’m not the only one who thinks you’re sexy as fuck. The rest of the pack thinks so, too. They can’t keep their hands off of you.”
“You’re exaggerating,” Ollie said, flushing.
“I’m not,” Deke said, sounding sullen when he said, “Half the time, I’m worried Fenny is gonna try to steal you. He’s always staring at your chest now. I think the little perv really does have a lactation kink.”
Ollie shook his head. “Now, you’re just hallucinating.”
Deke pressed a kiss to Ollie’s shoulder, then his throat, sucking on his scent gland until he bit off another groan. “You’re the one whose vision needs work. I’m fine.”
Ollie tilted his head, letting Deke continue to kiss along his neck and shoulder. “It’s just weird. My body wasn’t supposed to be able to do this. I never thought I’d look like I swallowed a bowling ball.”
Deke snorted out a laugh. “Do not call my daughter a bowling ball.”
“Oh, now she’s just your daughter,” Ollie teased, leaning his weight back on Deke. “Good, you carry her. She’s heavy.”
“Hey. Don’t say that. Girls are sensitive about their weight. You’ll give her a complex.”
Ollie scoffed. “Not in utero, they aren’t. Besides, this child will be spoiled rotten even if she is born shaped like an actual bowling ball.”
“Please, she’ll probably be small like me. She’s the size of a kiwi.”
“If she’s so dainty, you carry her,” Ollie teased.
Deke looked at himself in the mirror, glancing down to pat his flat belly. “I think I’d look hot pregnant,” he said. “Not as hot as you. But when I was waiting to present, I always wondered what it would be like to be an omega. To be able to have a baby. Like, to carry one, not just help create one.”
“Really?” Ollie asked, meeting his gaze in the mirror once more. “You didn’t just assume you’d present as an alpha?”
Deke looked at him like the question was absurd. “When I was a kid, I hoped I would, but only because I didn’t want my dad to beat the shit out of me anymore than he already did.”
Ollie hated the matter-of-fact way Deke spoke of his abuse.
“But look at me,” he said, glancing at himself in the reflection. “I wasn’t especially tall or broad or, like, big. I could have been an omega. I’d been called pretty more than once, feminine, girly. And I liked makeup, which in my father’s eyes was worse than almost anything. I wouldn’t have cared as long as I was safe. I wouldn’t want any baby I had raised anywhere near my father or brothers.”
Ollie nodded, putting his hands over Deke’s on his belly. “Well, this baby is going to be surrounded by people who love her and who spoil her beyond belief.” When he thought of just how much, he grimaced once more. “Especially Binnie. He’ll turn her into a monster.”
Deke laughed. “Well now that Seth’s pregnant at least she won’t be the only baby. She’ll just be the oldest by a few months. Do you think there’s more than one in there?”
“I saw his HCG levels. They’re off the charts. That usually indicates multiples but Win said there’s a small chance it could also be a side effect of the heat inducers. But she seems pretty convinced there’s at least two.”
“I hope Saint pulls it together soon,” Deke said. “Seth has wanted this for as long as I’ve known him. He thought he had no shot. Then he thought he was getting everything he wanted. Now his mate is in a shame spiral. It can’t be easy for him.”
“He went to sleep with Binnie and San tonight,” Ollie said by way of confirmation. “They’ll take care of him.”
Once more, Deke buried his face in Ollie’s neck, one arm sliding above his belly and the other under. Before he could ask what he was doing, his alpha lifted him up, carrying him to the bed, feet hovering over the floor.
“Can I take care of you?” he asked, pushing Ollie back onto the bed and crawling on top of him, hovering.
“Take care of me, how?” Ollie asked, amusement leaching into his voice.
Deke had always been tactile with him but now he couldn’t keep his hands–or nose or mouth–off of him. He let his head fall to the side again, eyes rolling behind his lids as Deke rubbed his cheek against his now over-sensitive scent gland.
“Any way you’ll let me,” he murmured, abandoning Ollie’s neck to move lower, rubbing his cheek over his inner wrist before pinning it over his head to shove his nose into his armpit.
Ollie gave an indignant squawk that became an embarrassingly high-pitched giggle as he continued to sniff him. “What are you doing?” he cried, slapping at Deke’s shoulder. “That tickles.”
“It’s not my fault you smell so good,” Deke said. “Take some responsibility. You have no idea what you’re doing to my alpha right now.”
Ollie’s brows knitted together. “I just smell like me…but stronger.”
Deke shook his head. “No, you smell…sweeter. Every day you smell more like…vanilla and sugar…but also your usual ink and paper smell. It’s like-It’s like…a cafe inside a bookstore. That’s what you smell like. A bookstore bakery.”
Ollie groaned. “I’m the size of a bakery.”
“Shut up,” Deke mumbled, moving down, unknotting Ollie’s towel to dip his head lower, stopping to press kisses onto his belly before settling between his legs to rub against the scent gland right where his thigh and pelvis met. “You’re always gorgeous. The minute I saw you, I was obsessed. My alpha is gonna go feral when you really pop. You’re barely showing.”
Ollie huffed, lifting his head to glare down at his bump. “Yeah, right.”
He couldn’t fight the low moan that escaped when Deke pushed his leg out further to lick at the crease, right over the smaller gland.
“Fuck, you’re getting me all worked up and I just showered. I’m gonna slick all over the bed.”
“Oh, no,” Deke mocked. “That would be awful.”
Ollie let his hands curl into Deke’s dark hair, trying to guide his mouth closer to his now half-hard cock. He ignored him, continuing his little scenting ritual like they hadn’t seen each other in months.
When he couldn’t fight a jaw-cracking yawn, Deke popped his head up, looking adorably put out. “I’m sorry, am I boring you?”
Ollie stretched his arms overhead with a groan. “I’m just sleepy. Do you know how much energy it takes to keep this oven running?”
“Is this where I make a bun-in-the-oven joke?” Deke asked, pressing two more kisses to his belly, before collapsing sideways, using Ollie’s plush inner thigh as a pillow.
Ollie glowered down at him. “Not if you want to live.”
Deke laughed softly. Ollie draped his other leg over the alpha’s chest, content. Just the warmth of his furnace-like temperature was almost enough to lull Ollie to sleep.
“Well, we have to call her something until we come up with her actual name and you refuse to talk about those just yet.”
Ollie chewed on his lip for a moment, guilt lancing through him. “It’s…bad luck.”
Deke sighed, bringing the leg he wasn’t lying on up to kiss his knee. “She’s going to be perfect. She’s tough.”
Ollie chest constricted once more, choking on the anxiety threatening to claw its way out of him. “I hope so.”
Deke turned his head and sank his teeth into Ollie’s thigh hard enough to earn a slap on the top of the head and an indignant yelp. “Stop that.”
The alpha gave him a stubborn look. “Then don’t talk shit about our daughter. She’s gonna be a badass. She’s already bigger than all the other babies. She’s gonna dominate.”
Ollie couldn’t stifle the laugh that escaped. “We’ll name her when it's closer or when she’s born. Then we’ll know better who she is. What kind of personality she has.”
“Fine, but in the meantime we need to call her something, especially now that we’re gonna have to differentiate between our baby and the potential hockey team growing inside Seth.”
“Fine. Ideas?”
“Well, you’re the one who said you were a bakery. We could call her cupcake? Muffin? Butter tart?”
“You want to call our daughter a tart?” Ollie said, mouth flattening into a hard line. “I feel like that might somehow go terribly wrong in the future.”
“Well, what did you have in mind?”
Ollie petted Deke’s soft, dark strands. “I don’t know. You’re Dutch. Should we name her after a Dutch pastry?”
“Have you heard the names of Dutch pastries?” Deke asked around a laugh. “Our little banket? You’re Irish. Should we call her a scone?”
“Dutch pastries are more unique.”
“They sure are,” Deke countered. “Let me name some for you. Kaneelbroodje? Boterkoek? Poffertje?”
Ollie’s smile got bigger with every reveal. “I think they’re cute. More original than pudding or shortbread or biscuit.”
“Fine,” Deke said, with a smirk. “Then we’ll call her our little Oliebol.”
Ollie mouthed the word to himself. Ollie-baul?
“Ollie-what now?” Ollie asked, feeling weirdly giddy. Maybe he was so tired he was slap-happy.
“What? It even has your name in it. You wanted to name her after a Dutch pastry. Oliebol seems appropriate.”
Deke’s smirk had Ollie narrowing his eyes. “Translate it. Does it translate to something mean? You look a little too proud of yourself.”
“It’s not mean, just…literal,” Deke said.
“Fine, if you won’t tell me…” Ollie trailed off, snatching his phone from the side table and opening it.
Deke tried to grab it, but Ollie trapped him between his legs. He only managed to keep him still for a moment–Deke was way stronger–but it was long enough for him to type it into the translator. That didn’t stop Deke from wrestling free of his grip and trying to snatch his phone.
Ollie flipped over, carefully guarding his belly so he didn’t crush their muffin-sized offspring. Deke sat on his thighs, digging his fingers into his ribs, in a wild attempt to distract him.
“Oil ball?” Ollie shouted, between shrieks of laughter. “You want to call our daughter an oil ball?”
Deke caged him in, hovering over him on all fours. “No, I wanted to call her cupcake. You were the one who insisted that we honor my heritage. Do you think she’s going to be any less mad if you call her a stroopwaffel?”
Ollie stopped short, twisting under Deke until he was on his back again. He gazed up at his pretty mate, giving him a carefully orchestrated smile. “Is that one of those thin little cookies with the caramel filling?”
Deke’s brain appeared to grind to a halt, blinking rapidly like a computer attempting to process new data. “What? Yeah? Why?”
Ollie moaned, his stomach starting to rumble. “They’re delicious.” He wrapped his arms around Deke’s neck, pulling him down until they were inches apart. “Do you think there’s a Dutch bakery around here?”
Deke scoffed. “We’re just outside of DC. I can name four off the top of my head.”
“So…does that mean that maybe we could go to one tomorrow? To one that has stroopwaffel?”
Deke shrugged, forcing Ollie’s thighs apart to settle between them. “I’m not sure. Are you going to call our baby stroopwaffel?”
“It's better than oil ball!” Ollie cried.
“This was your idea!” Deke shouted back, both of them once more dissolving into gales of laughter.
“You wanted to call her a tart,” Ollie countered.
“It’s cute. She can be our little Pop-Tart.”
“No,” Ollie said flatly.
“Could we go back to cupcake?”
“That makes her sound like an exotic dancer,” Ollie said. “She can’t dance. She doesn’t even have fully formed legs yet.”
“Well, calling her stroopwaffel seems like grounds for someone calling like the cops on us,” Deke pointed out.
Ollie stared up at the alpha, momentarily getting caught up in his pretty eyes. When Deke arched a brow at him and smirked, Ollie jerked his gaze away. “Should we ask the pack?”
“Maybe we should wait?” Deke said, hesitantly, before dipping his head to brush his lips over Ollie’s. They were soft and warm, tasting faintly of their mint toothpaste. “Until Saint, uh, pulls it together? Or at least until Seth lets someone tell him he’s pregnant.”
Ollie’s lips parted on instinct, letting his alpha’s tongue sweep inside, the kiss deep, claiming, threaded with the heady tang of Deke’s scent, stronger now, thicker, the way it got when his rut instincts stirred. God, Deke in rut…Ollie wondered if the suppressants would keep an enigma rut at bay.
It was still surreal to think Ollie was the alpha’s only real sexual experience, even if he’d admitted to making out with others. It had clearly paid off, he was an exceptional kisser, confident–almost cocky–like he knew exactly how to unravel him.
And he did.
When Deke pulled back, Ollie chased his mouth, connecting them again, sliding his tongue against Deke’s and hitching his legs around his hips, irritated that his mate hadn’t already stripped. The heat between them was electric, every point of contact burning. Deke always burned so hot.
“I’m getting some mixed messages here,” the alpha murmured between kisses, his breath hot against Ollie’s cheek. “Thought you were tired.”
“I’m exhausted,” Ollie admitted, tipping his head to expose his throat. Deke took the invitation without hesitation, sealing his mouth over Ollie’s scent gland. The slow pull of suction and faint scrape of teeth sent a full-body shiver rolling through him, slick pooling onto the mattress below. He rutted up against the thick, hot length pressing against the crease of his thigh. “But now I’m also horny…and hungry.”
Deke made a low, rough sound in his chest, half growl, half laugh. “Which of those things is the most pressing right this second?” he asked, slotting their erections together and grinding his hips down until they both made a strained sound.
“Fuck me,” Ollie whispered, voice already gone thin. “Then feed me. Then text your brother and tell him we’re not coming in tomorrow until my doctor’s appointment so we can sleep in for once.”
“I can do that,” Deke said, already kissing him again, deeper, wetter, while Ollie shoved at his waistband to get the shorts out of the way.
“Just put it in,” he demanded, breathless. “I’m ready.”
Deke huffed a laugh against his lips. “I know you’re an omega now, but you can’t just raw dog an alpha cock with no prep, self-lubricating or not.”
Ollie bit his bottom lip. “I fingered myself in the shower.”
Deke pulled back like he’d been slapped, the look of betrayal almost comical. “Wow. You think you know someone. You said you were tired.”
“I am tired,” Ollie said with a smirk. “’Cause I jerked off in the shower.”
Deke stared like Ollie had just canceled Christmas. “You fingered yourself and jerked off and didn’t even give me the opportunity to watch? In some packs, that’s grounds for divorce.”
Ollie wrapped his hand around his alpha’s cock, feeling the throb under his palm. “Why don’t you let me make it up to you by putting this inside me.”
“Now, I don’t know if I even want to,” Deke mumbled, though the way he was teasing the swollen head against Ollie’s slick entrance said otherwise.
Ollie hooked his knees around Deke’s hips, whispering in his ear, letting instinct lace every word. “Please, alpha. Fill me up. Knot me so deep I can’t think. Wanna feel you dripping out of me when I walk tomorrow.”
Deke’s breath caught hard. “Jesus. Who knew you had such a filthy mouth?”
Ollie smirked, arching a brow. “Are you complaining?”
“Are you insane?” he countered, sealing their mouths and driving into him in one deep, claiming thrust. The stretch was instant, burning just enough to make Ollie’s breath hitch.
“Fuck, baby, you’re so wet,” Deke groaned.
“You feel so fucking good,” Ollie moaned, the slow roll of Deke’s hips dragging over his prostate with lazy precision. “It’s the pregnancy hormones. I’m like a fucking faucet down there.”
“I can’t believe you didn’t let me get a taste first,” Deke grumbled. “You taste sweeter now, too. Not that you weren’t already addictive.”
Ollie dragged him back in for another kiss, their mouths breaking only for the little cries Ollie gave every time Deke bottomed out.
“Can you talk while you rail me into the mattress, alpha?” he panted.
Deke shifted, hooking one of Ollie’s legs over his shoulder, the new angle making Ollie’s vision blur. “Better?”
“It’s a start,” Ollie gasped. “But faster. Harder.”
Deke gave another exasperated chuckle. “You’re lucky I like when you boss me around.”
Before Ollie could reply, Deke pulled nearly all the way out and slammed back in, the wet slap loud and obscene.“Better, your majesty?”
Ollie tried for a shrug but couldn’t hide his breathlessness. “Definitely hard enough. Now pick up the pace.”
“Fuck, I love making you sound like that,” Deke said, grabbing his hip to drive deeper.
The next thrust had Ollie tasting sound, white-hot sparks exploding behind his eyes. “Holy fuck. Again. Like, a lot.”
“Sure, baby. Anything for you,” Deke grunted.
Ollie gasped as he doubled his pace, the knot beginning to swell and catch with every thrust. The sound of skin meeting skin was joined by the rhythmic slam of the headboard against the wall, a filthy metronome broadcasting their business to the entire house.
Ollie risked a glance, Deke’s gaze was locked on where they were joined, watching himself sink into Ollie like it was the most mesmerizing thing in the world. That look–hungry, reverent–made Ollie’s chest go tight.
Every time Deke bottomed out, pleasure knifed through him, hot and electric. He reached for his cock, knowing it would only take a few strokes, but Deke swatted his hand away to take over, fisting him in time with his thrusts.
“You fuck like a porn star,” Ollie rasped, eyes fluttering shut as the knot thickened inside him. “It’s crazy.”
“You make it easy,” Deke said, voice rough. “I’m not gonna last.”
“I don’t need much. Just knot me. Wanna come on it.”
Deke growled, slamming into him three more times before they were locked together. The grind that followed sent Ollie spiraling, clenching hard around the thick swell as he spilled over Deke’s fist.
“Oh my God,” the alpha groaned. “You’re milking me. If you weren’t already pregnant–”
“Don’t talk about it,” Ollie wailed, still fluttering around him.
The alpha dropped Ollie’s leg carefully, falling forward, catching his weight on his hand, breathing hard as he stared down at him.
“Wow,” Ollie said, taking in their current situation. “Uh, we didn’t exactly think this through. Are you just gonna…hover?”
“It’s fine,” Deke said lazily, rolling them until Ollie was on top, then moving to sit back against the headboard, making him whimper and moan with every adjustment.
Ollie straddled his lap, making another low sound as his knot shifted deeper, pressing against his now over-sensitive prostate.
“Just put your head on my shoulder until it goes down. Then I’ll get you something to eat,” Deke said, trying to coax Ollie’s head down.
“Isn’t this uncomfortable for you?” Ollie asked, fighting him, concern etched on his face.
“Having my sexy, pregnant mate sitting in my lap, with my knot inside them. No, no, it's not. I cannot even believe you’d ask me that,” he said, with a shake of his head. “This is amazing. Better than amazing. A thousand out of ten. No notes.”
Ollie rolled his eyes. “You’re an idiot.”
“You’re hot.”
Ollie buried his face in his neck, whining, “Shut up.”
“I won’t, actually,” Deke countered.
Ollie placed a kiss on Deke’s mating mark. “When did you get this mouthy?”
“I’ve always been mouthy. I was just saving it until you were stuck with me,” he said, sounding both smug and sleepy.
Ollie snuggled closer, Deke’s alpha heat and rhythmic breathing lulling him. “I’ve been bamboozled,” he mumbled, eyes already slipping shut as he tucked his nose against his scent gland.
Deke snorted, then wrapped his arms around him. “Love you.”
Ollie’s breath caught, biting his lip, a fizzy feeling blooming behind his ribs. “I love you, too.”
He gave another loud yawn, drifting off.
“Though I really wish I’d thought to take these shorts all the way off,” Deke grumped.
Ollie snickered. “Hindsight’s 20/20.”
