Announcements! (Playtester Tier and Discord) (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

Wanted to let everyone know two big things:

First: The Discord server for Ferret Foundry is live and ready to go. I believe I set everything up correctly, but please let me know if I missed something. Every Patron who has their Discord account connected should already be invited, and Ferret Foundry+ people will also have access to that part of the server, where mapmaking livestreams will soon be hosted.

Second: The "Playtester Ferret" tier is now live and anyone who is interested can change over now. Planning and arrangement for the first game will be done via an exclusive Discord channel, which you'll have access to upon signing up. I know there were some questions that were either common or left unanswered in the last post, so I'll answer them here:

When are the games? How long are they?

The game sessions will run between 4-6 hours (depending on the material) and happen at 4pm PST, on either the last Thursday or last Sunday of every month (both if we have multiple groups).

What levels/settings/type of game should I expect?

The answer to that is going to change monthly, depending on what's on the production pipeline and how far along it is. Some months will be a detective noir, some months will be a classic dungeon crawl. Some (most) months will be in Eberron, some months will be somewhere else. It just depends. Anticipate a wide variety of one-shots in terms of tone, style, and setting.

What I want to just sign up for one time (rather than commit to monthly)?

After looking into Patreon's creator terms, I can't necessarily sell one-off access to a Patron benefit without including Patreon in the transaction. At least that's what the agreement seemed to be saying. That said, changing tiers on Patreon is so easy, I think that this still works within Patreon itself.

If you want to sign up for just one month's session, but not commit to future months, simply change your tier level to "Playtester" for that month, then change it back to whatever you'd like after you play. If you'd like, I can send a reminder to any member doing this so they don't forget to change back down to the less expensive tier.

I share my Patreon with a significant other. We don't really need double of everything you make, but we'd both like to play in the monthly games. What can we do?

I ask that anyone in this situation sign the second person up for the regular Fantastic Ferret tier (mostly so they have access to Discord and Patron polls) and then message me. This would make the total for both people only $17. I'll manually give them access to the channels on Discord that they need to play.

I got in early and have the "Fast Ferret" discount. Is there a way to carry over that discount if I sign up for this new tier?
