Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely Friday and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to this week and the next on Fridays!

I'll watch the films on this Poll for 4th & 11th of May!

James you need to watch Shōgun from 2024. It just finished airing and it’s perfect for reactions. It’s also only 10 episodes so it would be quick to get through

Jennifer

Please let Aftersun get picked - the film making is incredible for a directorial debut and, if you’re observant and unfortunate, hits very very hard.

Jeighdaaaa

Aftersun is one I watched for the first time super recently and it instantly became one of my all time favorites. Really hope it stays on the list so we can eventually get your thoughts.

JL Green

For me, the most dramatic is marriage story and the most entertaining is the graduate. But you really missed a golden opportunity with Kramer vs Kramer which is an amalgamation of the two choices.

cindygrape

Is there any hope for you to react Dune part 2 in near future? I still haven't watched it because I apparently can't watch movies any more without someone yapping in my ear 💀

Sebastian

A Star is Born (2018) is a great watch if you haven’t seen it yet!

Ant

I know it isn't winning but... anyone who's seen Aftersun can vouch just how hard it hits. I'm not the most emotional guy but I 100% cried when those credits rolled. Hope you get around to that one eventually

Michael Proch

Oooooh, love Anomalisa! Any excuse to watch more Charlie Kaufman.

Connie Tsang

I hope one day Pride and Prejudice (2005) will be on the list :)

Kara

Past Lives gang rise up (again)!

Linda

The Graduate is a great time capsule of the era; groundbreaking film wise too. 💕

Eric

Gotta stick with the 80s: Moonstruck. Cher and Nicolas Cage, what more can you ask for?

Matt

Aftersun was my favorite film of 2022 Past Lives favorite of 2023 Hope you get to them both

Kaitlin

Aftersun is amazing and I hope it wins. Moonstruck is a classic and had better win. And I know Anomalisa has no chance of winning but I want to try for it anyway because omg it’s stunning.

Kaitlin

You’ll watch the films on the 4th and 11th of April or May?

Torpeedoo

Hope you get to watch Aftersun at some point. One of the best films from the past few years in my opinion.

Tetley

I'd like to suggest a couple of gems of world cinema for our drama/romance theme. French movie L'Inconnu du lac (Stranger by the Lake) 2013 and a Swedish film Gräns (Border) 2018. Both are thought-provoking and surprising looks at human and not-so-human connection.

eoin

Fallen angels!! And aftersun 100%%

Dillon H

One I think you would adore for a Romance is 'The American' starrting George Clooney. It is a slower paced film that shows a side of romance and spycraft we dont see often.

William Davis

The Graduate is a classic! From the 60s but still reflects the anxiety of young people.

Andrew Ancil

Hope we eventually get Frances Ha, very underrated

Tony Ivic

Aftersun absolutely floored me. One of my all time favourite debuts for a writer/director

Penultimate Tommy Wiseau

Frances Ha's use of Hot Chocolate's Every 1's a Winner has completely changed my perspective on that song. Now I get sad and lonely whenever I hear it.

RICHARD

Personally I don't like seeing movies on the poll that are less than 3 years old. People get caught up in the moment and rate things higher than they would be if given time to see if the film has legs.

cindygrape

aftersun is hardest I've cried in a while

Adam Williams

Hey James any chance of Fallout and/or Shogun in the future??

AnxiousSky

God aftersun is so good

Taylor Olsoy

I know its probably too late to add more to the list. But Somewhere in time is a really good one to add to the list if you got room haha

Linda

If you ever want to hop into investigative journalism again, may I suggest All the President's Men, The Insider, and The Post.
