This show did not get the awards accolades it deserved.

If you want another show where everyone working on the show is firing on all cylinders just like Andor I would strongly recommend watching Scavengers Reign. Yes it's animated SciFi but from writing, music, animation etc you can see the passion from everyone working on it. It's only 12 episodes long and about 22min an episode so you could probably watch it in one day. Plus since not many reactions on YouTube you would corner the algorithm if people search. Best animated show I have seen in probably a decade

So here’s some facts about S2: -each arc was originally thought of to be its own season but that idea was turned into each being 3 episodes to not drag the plot -There is a cut scene with Mothma’s husband where he lets her know he’s known the entire time what she’s been doing and has been covering for her. He explains he would’ve joined her but cared too much about their daughter to do so

Great series. Thanks for giving me a reason to rewatch it. In E10, the piece of equipment that Dedra pulled out of her case when confronting Luthen was the piece of stolen Imperial tech that Cassian tried to sell to Luthen way back in S1 E3. They had to leave it behind when fleeing Syril’s corporate cops. I loved getting Luthen and Kleya’s back story and their separate motivations for starting the Rebellion. Kleya was fierce from the start. Dedra thought she found Axis. She didn’t. She found only Luthen. Axis was both Luthen and Kleya. She was his partner from the beginning, and it was her who kept Luthen on track every time he got a little wobbly. Ben Mendelsohn (Krennic) didn’t inform Denise Gough (Dedra) that he would be jamming his finger into the top of her skull, so her reaction was genuine. Dedra found out that the Empire eats its own. She’s lucky she was only thrown in prison. The thought of her getting fried for not making Death Star parts fast enough makes me happy. This show made Rogue One more poignant. Especially the end, where we find out that Cassian has a child with Bix that he’ll never know about.

Rouge One hits different after watching Andor.

Thanks for reacting to this show James, I’m glad you were so inspired! I also appreciate your message at the end about the importance of maintaining your own moral code, kind of reminds me of Nemik’s manifesto in the show. It can be easy to feel that your efforts to spread kindness and justice don’t do anything so there’s no point in putting in the effort, but like you said, it’s a domino effect.

Certainly you need to watch Rogue One again. It upped the value of it almost 100% for me over the 1st few times I saw it. It gives context that did not exist and actually made some parts I really didnt like..to become necessary.

Everything in this, top to bottom, start to finish, is generational talent. And this story, at this time, just hits different. Beyond being top tier TV, this show infuriates me because how can Disney put out something as good as this compared to, for instance, the third trilogy. How can they put out the story of our time while also putting out such other disappointment. Like you say at the end, put this production team together again and I'm there.

You mentioned something I wanna echo here because it's something I thought about when I finished this show on release: inspiration. I think about all the filmmakers and actors this series will inspire for Star Wars, for Sci-Fi, and for tv overall! The bar has been set sooo very high by this show.

If it was only to get one Emmy, I’m glad it got the award for writing. I loved how Rogue One came out of nowhere and added depth and consequence to the original movie, and I lover that this does the same for Rogue One.

Totally epic! Loved this show so much and thoroughly enjoyed rewatching with your reactions and commentary :) I got to watch the first trilogy in theathers as a child and even though I enjoyed, more or less, the prequels, the feelings I got from watching Rogue One and this show, truly brought me back to that same intensity. This is interesting because the excitment and emotion I experienced with the first trilogy was with the eyes and heart of a child and a teenager, then I had to rewatch those movies many times in later years... then some of the emotion becomes less as you become more aware of the world and the fantasy aspects become more tampered, but, then Rogue One and Andor came out and these bring mature emotion, character progression and in depth human and socio-political complexity to the Star Wars universe and you just can't stop being pulled into the journey of these characters wholeheartedly. You should definetively re-watch Rogue One after watching Andor, it does hit deeper...
