Thanks for opening up about your thoughts and attitude towards relationships, I feel very similarly. I had that kind of relationship with my wife (now ex, long story but we became different people, very mutual and happy divorce after 15 years together), and going back into dating is really tough. The apps weren't even around when I had my first few relationships, and everything about them feels so clinical or hollow and tiring. But somewhat inversely, as an adult with long-established friend groups you need to actively find ways to put yourself out there and meet people which can also be tough. I know that, like with everything, there isn't a "this is what everyone thinks and it's what's normal" but it's still nice to hear someone have an opinion you really resonate with. Thanks again!
