Heyoooo! I’m just getting back from Holidays with family, appreciate the patience. Wanted to say thank you for the love you guys have given throughout the journey of this channel. I’m excited to finally be bringing forth some newer content that’s primarily just my art onto the channel. More conversations, more documentation, more human experiences.

I’ve been writing. Practicing the craft. Reading more. Alls to say, that I’m feeling really good about 2024. Thank you for being an extension of these thoughts and emotions. 🧳🍃

Love the update! Any books you recommend?

James vs Cinema

Currently reading American Gods. It’s hefty, kicking over 800+ pages but a short Sci-fi one would be “Caves of Steel.”

Connie Tsang

Keep rockin' James! When the time arises, I have a short canceled TV series that was followed by a film that you should see. 14 episodes and a 2 hour film. I think you would enjoy it!

Hey James, How about a reaction of Roman Polanski's "Rosemary's Baby?" It's a crowd pleaser!

Jon Johns

James, do you have a blog or something talking about "how to get started" screenwriting?

George Ray

Hey James, loving the content and can't wait to continue your journey with BCS. Do you think it's ever too late to start being a filmmaker or getting back into filmmaking?

Michael Proch

Dude you know what book you would love is “Chain Gang All-Stars” by Nana Kwame Ajdei Brenyah

James vs Cinema

I don’t have a blog. I’m not specifically able to teach you how to get started..still learning myself, but my best advice is to READ MORE. Scripts. Books you’d like to make movies about. Or just in general. It really helps just reading and seeing the flow of story-telling. Also helps build confidence in your ability to tackle something like a blank page haha!

James vs Cinema

Depends on your motive! I enjoy filmmaking and storytelling for the story. I don’t really care for fame, money, recognition..it’s truly sacred and personal journey for me, and art has always been that way for me. So in my opinion, never too late! Write a book when you’re 65 years old. Make a film when you’re 70. If the goal is to see something you’ve created being brought to life on the big screen, age is boundless with that.

James vs Cinema

But always always ALWAYS..continue to engage with your practice. Even if it’s just in your mind or taking your camera around.

Jon Bradley

James, I was unsure where to locate your email so I DM'ed you here on Patreon. I included some trailers for what I was talking about

An insight into your own makings are what I wished for here so bring it on and a happy new year to us.
