Awwwwwww talita needs hugs!!! All The Hugs!

There's something very good about every time Gillie has to look down and read the auto text. It really helps give the reader the subtle impression of how annoying it is for her to be taken out of a conversation like that. I'm also really curious what Gillie is driving at, given her own history of dysmorphia...

Zoom out. Show Talita scrunched up and awkward, in the dollhouse world everyone she knows lives.

Jackalgirl

If if's dysmorphia, she doesn't *want* to be a human, she *is* a human.

Gerome

Man the scratchy panel of talita saying it's humiliating is so so good, like. It just expresses how she's feeling in the line work SO WELL I don't even know how to put it into words! But it's really amazing.

the first step to finding a solution, talita, is talking about it. i really hope we get to see her confidence increase over the course of the story because i’m really rooting for this beautiful woman who’s had to carve out a space in a world not built for her.

This page made me hug my iPad while rocking back and forth. I was not expecting to have such a reaction. I don’t know what exactly I’m feeling but I’m feeling it (possible Alexithymia).

Poor Talita :( It occurs to me that Talita probably doesn't even know that Gillie is trans, so Gillie will probably talk about her experience and they can bond that way? Hopefully? Get these women some friendship!!

Tzevoah Seraphina

These last few comics have been exceptionally well-done. The impact of this conversation... whoof! Poor Talita.

(Sorry for asking this here but I am unaware of how to do it any other way;) Is there a Discord server? I couldn’t find it.

the pull out of the camera after idrisah says "you have species dysmorphia" to show how talita has to hunch in the human sized apartment, how huge she is next to the human sized furniture, how different she is from the humans in the room. like talk about a picture meaning a thousand words

'It's stupid and humiliating and has no solution' been there about my own emotions, 0/10 experience!! Easier to describe and experience as frustration and hurt than sadness, though. Hey, who needs vulnerability, right? God this is such good character writing.

SenGrisane

She is so big. And yet she feels so small here.

been thinking about talita and this page a lot today…i think it’s interesting that whenever the question of whether or not she wants to be human comes up (like that one character AMA a while ago) talita never gives a straight answer. and maybe it’s because she’s ashamed and embarrassed to admit the answer is “yes”, but personally i get the feeing it’s because it’s not that easy of an answer. i’m sure a part of her wishes she could be human, but even if she were magically able to have a human body, it wouldn’t immediately solve every self image issue she has and i think she knows that. and i think she also, on some level, realizes that she shouldn’t /have/ to change her body just to fit an arbitrary standard imposed on her by a species that isn’t her own and a society that doesn’t understand her - that she should be allowed to be who and what she is without constantly apologizing or modifying herself for it. anyway the trans allegory is strong in this one i love her so bad
