Talita's gotten desensitized to the Bip jumpscares.

the inclusion of black space on this page looks really natural! I think talita’s tapetum lucidum in panel 4 is different enough from “eye highlights” to tell light is shining off even in black and white

say what you're thinking talita. was it a bullet

Bip being very vague here. Definitely on purpose. "We got attacked by another pirate ship" would probably set off all the alarm bells.

I was confused about Bip's speech bubble coming from Talita at first, but I love how it points to the physical source of the audio.

I can think of so many reasons for Bip to be vague here, but I’m reassured somewhat by the hope that it’s something sympathetic-enough to start winning Idrisah over (or at least not further-alienate her). Clever, using our knowledge of the group’s potential future as a source of dramatic tension in a “how will they get there from here?” sense 😁

Talita's eyes seem to point at bip when they're talking; does she have some kind of projection/hud/thingy in her helmet, or is that just kind of for the audience's benefit?

I assert that the 'clk' as Bip cut in was fully voiced and pronounced exactly as it appears. Bip could have cut in silently, but politely announced themself first.

Does Bip ever tell them what exactly happened? I can't imagine feeling safe on-board if there's a possibility Bip / Bip's radar is at fault.

Oh I love their avatar drawn to be just floating around her for this, like some sort of worm ghost haunting

I am now wondering how the heck frequencies work. [Pokes Google] Tell me the secrets.

Doing a re-read and I've realized that this was before Bip had access to the worms, so nothing has been removed from the habitat yet. And Talia is in there doing repairs...
