Flicking the lights on and off is one of the common methods for getting attention in Deaf culture, in my experience as a hearing guest I've most often seen it used to announce entering a room or to get the attention of a crowded party.

the zucchini curse.....

Nethervane

All these zucchinis and nothing to use 'em with! (Also now that I think of it, Bip's avatar looks a little bit like a zucchini in terms of body shape...)

Oh noooo Idrisah looks pre-annoyed! Nobody better be planning any crimes in this apartment...

Min

Is Talita just hearing footsteps like you might hear footsteps in an apartment with thin walls, or does she have owl-like hearing to go with that facial disc?

Do you think cults or groups like them would be easy to form in space since they could fly any ship they had to were people couldn't easily stop them? Do some groups purposefully isolate themselves due to viewing aliens as dangerous? What would stop someone from creating some secret base in the middle of nowhere to create illegal GMHs or something? Is there a police force or is it pretty much the wild west due to the shear vastness of space?

Oh Idrisah is gonna be PISSED

Topknot

Man, the panel with the little sounds waves from Idrisah's shoes in inverted tones came out so cool. It reads as different info to what we normally see without being distracting. I fell like I'm learning a lot about comic making as you work on this, which is a really cool side benefit to supporting you on Patreon and watching you stream.

wouldn’t she flick the lightswitch the opposite way for on/off?

GILLIE USE YOUR BIG EARS

ooooo, i LOVE that she turns the light on & off!! :D in my deaf dorms for college they had little doorbells of light that people could use to "knock" on my door - but we used the overhead light, too!!

Alight

Flicking the lights is how my mother used to get my attention when I was in the basement.
