Not sure if there will be a Tuesday Video.

Just finished the design and animations for the Friday video, which is based on the Principles of Naval Weapons Systems - 2nd Edition from the US Naval Institute Blue & Gold Professional Library. Added some "3D" effects, although I am not entirely happy with style. Probably in a few weeks I will know how to improve it - at least that is my experience.
Btw. it will cover ships and submarines, but the title was too long for thumbnail :)

To be sure the content is correct, I let a physicist read the script btw.

Could you do a video about how naval artillery shells damage ships, especially battleship calliber shells in comparison to modern anti-ship missiles? I remember hearing somewhere, that modern missiles have an compareable destruction potential to the bigger naval gun shells. That sounds a little bit odd to me, because naval shells have only a tiny explosive payload (compared to their total mass). Do the shrapnells of those shells realy do that much damage? ps.: I'm looking forward for the underwater explosion video :)

in the future maybe. Although this could be rather tricky not sure if anyone has comparison on this one. Justin got Naval Artillery from Friedman, I ask him if something is in there.

That sounds good, and letting a physicist have a look is a good idea. I am a Mechanical Engineer myself with some experience on military vehicles... explosions are not all that easy :)

it's just the basics, basically a summary of what is written in "Principles of Naval Weapons" with some quotes + additional quotes from other military education stuff. No math.
