In order that most of you can participate, I set it to the week at 2000  CET (Austria Time), since that should allow most of you to be able to  make it live.
1100 - Los Angeles
1400 - New York
1900 - London
2200 - Moscow

If you can't make it, feel free to post your question, suggestion, etc. below.
Note the live-stream will be for Patreon's of your tier only, later it will be available, yet again only for your tier.

Sorry for the short announcement, but Militracks and some technical issues set back my plans a bit.

In Austria is there any kind of nostalgia for the Hapsburg Empire? Depending on how you look at it, the Empire lasted hundreds of years. I am planning a trip to visit Vienna next year and the pictures of some of the old buildings are truly amazing.

I will answer here for now. YES, basically when the last Habsburg was buried a few years ago, Vienna looked to most people as we were still in the Monarchy. There should be plenty of videos of this on YouTube. Of course, it really depends. I am basically anti-Habsburg, I don't like Monarchies in general and ineffective ones even less so. Frederick the Great is one of the few examples, but then again he was "enlightened" and disciplined, aspects I don't associate with the Habsburgs at all. I am also not a fan of the arts, I love good design, but design is art + functionality. So, I can "understand" the appeal, yet, I can't "feel" it. My favorite city is Leipzig, since it is one of the few that actually was "built as a city", large open roads, whereas Vienna is just "crowded" and "tight" for me. I love the Flak Towers though :) So, I don't think I would be a good guide for you.

I have to consider Leipzig as well then.

Leipzig also has the "Battles of Nation Monument" (Völkerschlachtdenkmal) for the Battle of 1813, yet, finished just prior to World War 1. This thing is the most "impressive" and "insane" "building" I have seen so far: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monument_to_the_Battle_of_the_Nations the foundation is the "War God of the Germans" Saint Michael about 10 meters or more tall. I think Dresden itself is "prettier" and really close by, but for living I would go to Leipzig. if you are in that region be sure to check out Fortress Königstein https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%B6nigstein_Fortress
