On D-Day what did the Germans know?

When it comes to D-Day and the German Perspective there are a few bits out there, but the sources are sometimes lacking. So, for this, we will be looking at some proper sources namely, the situation report of Operations Staff of the Wehrmacht and the war diary of the 7th German Army. Very interesting. I do wonder if maybe the modern impressions of the French underground's actions may be played up a bit. They likely were at the time to motivate the French populace to conduct further attacks, not assist the enemy, and eventually rise up enough to make cities indefensible for the Germans. Like the news reel showing supplies being dropped to the French on D-Day. You place a film crew there for PR/propaganda purposes, and no other. Still very interesting to see what the Germans thought they were seeing. Knew some of the deception paid off, but didn't know these specifics. And why there wasn't an immediate focused counter attack, of what forces they had close enough.

Did the German Army anticipate Operation Dragoon in Southern France in any manner? With Operation Dragoon in mine, it could be said that the Allies did indeed stage a second invasion of France.

I probably might look into the Resistance, since I have several articles and chapters everyhwere, and I wouldn't be surprised that there is a lot of bullshit in "all directions". From what I gathered the Wehrmacht was rather concerned, so they definitely drew away important resources.
