Happy holidays everyone. Since I’ve gotten back into reading this year I was curious to know what you lot are reading, if anything at all. I’m currently reading The Boats of the Glen Carrig by William Hope Hodgson and The Willows by Algernon Blackwood. And I have bought HeaRational but have yet to read it. Do you think WWE (and to a lesser extent AEW) are too focused on nostalgia and not on things that are engaging on their own merit? I've only gotten into wrestling in the last three or so years and am always bewildered about the amount of angles and programming dedicated to legends and old storylines. I understand the need to reward long term fans for their time investment but I feel like it often takes up considerable time and energy (Goldberg retirement match, Jeff Jarrett, Saudi mania rumours) Also Saya Kamitani is wrestler of the year

Hey Guys, Just wanted to say I really enjoy your content! Been watching for a long time and on my YouTube Recap for your channel I am ranked top 1% in viewer on your channel and top 2% on podcasts (I switched to YouTube Music to listen to you guys halfway through the year) The invasion storyline was during the time I started watching wrestling so I am super pumped for this series. Okay now my question. Do you really think WWE is going to "Spoil" the surprise entrants for the Royal Rumble this year because of the travel to Saudi Arabia or was that just a clever bit of rumor that WWE are trying to spread. With all the travel vlogs I've seen about people going to Saudi Arabia it seems like those flights are relatively private especially if WWE wanted to hid someone, I feel like it could be easier than they are letting on. Maybe I'm an idiot but I thought the entire point of the Royal rumble was to cement one of the world title matches and have the fun entrance pops of surprise returns. It makes me actually want to Skip Saturday night's main event before and maybe the Raw SmackDown before just so I am not spoiled. Thoughts? JAM THAT JAM

If you could pick one writer/director to do a year of storylines for WWE or AEW. For example, Jordon Peele working with the Wyatt six. I was thinking about what it would be like for Christopher Nolan to do a year long storyline, but the feud would probably start with a winner and then work backwards to see how the feud started in the first place and never getting to hear the promos because to accidental on purpose sound design would drown out the dialogue…….anyway who would you pick?

I have been watching your cutscene episode of Daredevil. It made me go back to rewatch the movie. In the bar scene the guy who spots Daredevil is Tanoai Reed who is the cousin of The Rock. And is you pause that scene and zoom in, you will see a qr code. It takes you directly to this podcast! Was it all one conspiracy theory by you guys like in Hear Rational? How would you feel about Jericho winning the rumble and challenging Cody at mania? Then Do Roman and Punk non title and Bron Vs Seth for the Seth Belt if he’s good to go and Bron Vs LA if Seth isn’t. Personally I don’t think the new big bad heel NEEDS to win his first world title at mania. Also Jericho is never gonna be as hot as that first month or 2 and we’ve seen what him and Cody can do together while feuding over a world title.

All jokes aside, WrestleTalk has been a consistent part of my life for over a decade now and every new video on the main channel and patreon serves as further reminder as to why I will never unsubscribe. This year I was able to pull myself out of a very rough patch of being unemployed and generally losing hope, only to find myself safe on the other side with a new job, new friends to enjoy my favorite hobby with, and hope for the future.
