Can you believe that? I drew a car. Yech!

This week has been dominated (utterly) by the process of submitting to a local art gallery, something I have literally never done in my life. Here are my entries:

I had to postpone my Trauma Work (and all other work, actually) for this process, and that's something I'm not too pleased about. Applying to ANYTHING is a harrowing roller coaster thanks to Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria and—frankly—I must thicken my skin and receive 1000 different rejections and display them like hunting trophies if I'm ever to achieve ANY of my goals. So. SO THERE.

I'm not even completely sold on these items being my submitted work. You're only allowed to submit three slides, and the ORC PAINTINGS are something I'm hugely proud of. But are they "fine art" tho???

Gah. Blah. UGG.

So yeah. This week was 75% torture, and 25% actual rolling up of sleeves and getting the job done. I'm having my artist statement peer reviewed now, and I've reached out to the gallery just to see if they're willing to give me some pointers (ya never know!)

Either way I plan on submitting—hopefully—next week.
