Perfection. I'm so close to finishing this piece y'all I can't wait to show you. I love giving you (and only you, my lovely Patron) sneak peaks but I'm holding off on showing you the Dansel.

The Dansel in this one is quite something.

Another challenge I face when working on these is pulling back on the detail. There's a huge part of me that wants to get 3x more invested in the shadow, lighting, and finery of it all. I could easily spend another 40 minutes on this barbarian making her glisten with sweat.

But she looks good enough. And good enough has to be good enough if I'm ever to 1) finish 12 more illustrations and 2) proceed to the three volume epic Dragon Sword.

So. Baby steps.
